cab2g, I agree with cmore. I would suggest having this checked at a different dealership. They should be able to find the documentation on the issue and get you all fixed up. I hope that helps and if you run into any issues let me know and I'll do what I can to help you.

Just got mine out of the shop. I wouldn't even recognize my Ipod. Come to find out it was due to the negative battery clamp being too loose.

Wow I really didn't realize this was a huge problem LOL. I just unplug my Ipod Touch and plug it back in and "voila!" it starts playing. What are they doing to alleviate this problem? Maybe once Alpine comes out with the new dash kit I won't have to worry about it at all.

We've got PDIM version DB/DB in our new 2011 it has the same problem with a large USB keys (16-32GB) not being detected when the car is started. We're having to remove and reinsert the USB key, sometimes a few times, and then it's finally found. Very aggravating. Have tried multiple USB keys/brands. A smaller 1GB key seems to be OK (so far), but doesn't hold enough songs. It's really spoiling our new-car experience having to dig into the glove box and hot-plug the USB key every time we drive the car. Haven't brought it in for service yet, but don't have much hope after reading this thread.

DB/DB here. My 16GB is detected 95% of the time, but indexes about 50% of the time at startup.

After listening to my Ipod Classic for a couple of hours it the stereo will produce a static sound (like gravel on a windshield). The Ipod doesn't do that if I'm listening with headphones or connected to any other device so I know it's the car stereo. The car is a 2011 2SS/RS purchased in Oct. 2010. Does new software correct this issue? The versions I have currently are CC & CE.

I don't have the newest versions yet but do have the next level up @DA DX. That did help with my issues but still have intermittent ones, all tho not as frequently. I and getting the newest module installed. I am not sure exactly what was changed between DA DX and DB DD but they must have fixed some issues and want to make sure I have the newest module available. Who knows what devices I will be using in the future but so want the newest updates.

Finally got level DB/DD installed today.

Some observation:
Jeff Morris, Chevrolet Customer Service helped some.

GM's Customer Satisfaction was of no help, that I could see. For this issue I would have been farther ahead to not have even bothered them and going to the step that finally got it resolved, I hope.

The only way I finally got this issue taken care of is by going to the dealer ship owner/manager. Things started moving then. It took about 9 trips to the dealership, with them working on it 5 different times.

Thanks Jeff.
