So I may just pick up some of Adams polishes and use that for the paint correction, and probably go with Zaino for the protection because everyone here seems to agree it lasts much longer, will be using both products on my car and my wife's Explorer which is Kona Blue and now sits outside because my car inherited the garage, may use Adams wax in the future but for now think I will go with Zaino since it is cheaper and for the durability. Thanks for everyone's input and I will post some before and after picks of both cars once I get my products and get a chance to work on the vehicles.

Boy will I attest to this one... Sir Nuke, I've NEVER seen your car dirty and it ALWAYS looks great... but then I know you wipe her down every night and put it in the garage.. If I could only be that disciplined...

It's NOT... then you have some serious time invested in polishing that baby up. It looks awesome...

I would wash with dawn, clay hood top trunk fenders and wax/seal. If dealer or you have added swirlsin not washing with two bucket method you might need to do some paint correction with Adams products between the clay and wax/seal.

What I am trying to say is you can choose a wax from Adams or a sealer from Zanio, like z-2 or Z-5. Either one will protect your ride. Jusy which one you like best. Try both if you have the budget and then decide.

For the wax I would use Adams Americana, see vid here:
http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-423-a...e-car-wax.aspx

To seal I would use z-5 and then Z-2 from Zanio. One layer of each should be fine. I find the Zanio to hold up a littler longer but you still need 2-3x a yr if Daily driver. here:

No you would use either Adams for wax or the Zanio which is more of a poly sealer like the Adams Super machine Sealer. But on the Zanio you do not need a portacable to put it on.

So some people go with a wax. And some use sealers like the Zanios. Just which ever you like. I like the Zanio Z-2 and Z-5 used with Zanio ZFX flash cure added to the Z-2 or Z-5 better than the Adams wax. Just my preference.

That link I gave you for the Adams Americana has a link for videos. Spend some time there learning the two bucket wash, tire care (really like the Adams Super VRT), polishing if you have swirls or light scratches and then the waxing. Also look up Junkman vids on their forum and search this forum for Junkman videos.

If you are new at it it seems complex at first. But spend some time watching the videos at Adams and Junkmans and it will clear up for you.

With such a new car, right now I would just worry about stripping the wax with the dawn wash. Properly claying (see videos on claying) the top surfaces, wash again with something like Adams car wash shampoo and then protect it with Wax or Sealer. Make sure you are washing/drying properly AND MAKE sure you use the correct towels/applicators like Adams and Zanio sells.

Then once you understand how not to add swirls/fine scratches etc to your paint when washing and waxing/sealing, you can look into paint/clearcoat correction to remove any swirls you have picked up.

Spend some time watching the vids and enjoy proper car care for people who do not believe that swirls in the paint are normal.

You need to start a thread in the exhaust section.

Here is a thread with some Junkman vids:

I use adams machine polish and machine super wax with pc on my camaro and truck. The truck is a DD and sees snow, ice, salt etc..and the finish lasted the whole year. I do both in summer. The machine super wax is really a sealant so guess why lasts longer than say wax?

Can I apply the Adam's Swirl & Haze Remover Polish by hand? With a Adam's microfiber towel? I looked at my paint (inferno orange) on the hood today in the early afternoon sunlight and no swirl marks but a million very, very, very small scratches. I was shocked so I need to correct it now......I've only had my Camaro 2 months (but it was born in May 2010).

Well I decided to go with Adams this time, and I will be honest if Zaino's customer serivce is MILES better than Adams then they would have to hand deliver their products to my door and then detail my car for me....Adams customer service was outstanding to include personal e-mails from one of their reps, super fast shipping, and an outstanding discount for the products I purchased. I don't deny Zaino has great customer service, and I will absolutely try their products in the future, but I am very happy so far with my experience with Adam.
