The BCM will not affect your warranty.

Also stock maximum speed for the V6 Camaro is 146 MPH. This was taken from a magazine article. I think there is a video of a V6 Camaro doing 146 or 147. As far as tire size that is correct. So once the tires are upgraded then have the BCM changed or live dangerous and change the BCM. Although exploding tires at 118 MPH will kill occupants.
i really need to find that post explaining this, because it said everything so nicely. So nice in fact, i asked for it to be a sticky. lol

ALL LS models that came with the factory 18" steel heritage rims (the black rims with plastic silver ring) have a speed limiter of 118mph. All 18" rims that are available for the v6 camaro has a speed limiter of 118mph. The speed limiter of the v6 camaros that have the 19" and 20" rims with the Z-rated tires are limited to 155mph.

Now, if you were able to get an LS with bigger rims and the Z-rated tires from the factory, they you more than likely have the 155mph speed limiter.

Now that's funny. I should start telling people random stuff like that and they'll freak out! Don't go 30 miles per hour over the speed limit in a given area, or your car will shut down and coast to the side of the road...A police officer will arrive and cite you, and then your vehicle will have to be re-set by the dealer....

ECM/ECU = Engine Control Module/Unit. It controls the engine (things like spark advance, air-fuel ratio, etc...)
TCM = Transmission Control Module. It controls the transmission (things like shift points, shift firmness, etc...)
BCM = Body Control Module. It controls all the neat gadgets. (things like window indexing, DIC display settings, etc...)

Hope that helps.

Dam it, I never read the question quick enough. Oh well he got the answer.

As an add on BCM is where your max speed or speed limiter is set. Changing this does not affect warranty. If you have a tune to the ECM/ECU than that should take care of it. Not sure if Vince charges the same for both? Never checked into it. I still have the BCR (Birth Control Rims) Herritage... 118 MPH for me

Not sure, I guess Vince would be able to. Not sure of his contact information. I think the company name is Trifecta?
