I actually like that it doesn't shut off when the passenger door is open. it should be tied in with the driver's side.

Maybe its a warning cause it thinks you're about to rev-launch and it is reminding you the e-brake is on :p

If you're speedometer indicates you're moving when you're not... don't get out of the car and leave the keys in the ignition... a friend of mine did that. His car locked him out with the auto door locks (the car thought it was moving). He had to call On Star to unlock it.

I used to have a Cruze and I remember starting it one night and the speedo climbing in a parking lot. I didnt have my foot on the gas at all. I think mine was actually stuck at whatever speed it was showing, and I shut it off/restarted to get rid of it.

Hmmm, car not moving and thinking it's going 10mph.. that can add "mileage" to the car that it doesn't have. Kind of a big deal in my book...

That's just the "Retained Accessory Power", which has been on all GM cars for years. Radios, power ports, etc. have 10-15 minutes of power after you turn off the car. Cancelled when you open the drivers door.

Yep...

Yep...

posted this video clip before...

I was told this happens when the car is parked on a flat surface and the speedo gear in the trans makes contact due to the vibration of the engine

after noticing a tenth of a mile change from when I parked the car, I got the camera and only revved it a bit past 2,000 rpms just to show the speedo move. It kinda pisses me off along with other glitches I can't replicate at the dealer like
  • the passenger side window being stuck down (happen once about a week ago)
  • heater blower not blowing hot air (happen once about 2 weeks after purchase)
  • iPhone disconnects or goes to static while in iPod mode (happens constantly since the OS 4.0+ updates)
