The new STI can run low 12s with bolt ons + a tune. My boy ran a 12.1.

yeah man its the fact that its lighter and AWD so it gets a good launch. Its actually faster then the new EVO 0-60 stock for stock. But the EVO can be built into a monster much quicker
0-60
Camaro V6- 5.7-6 Seconds
WRX- 4.7
STI- 4.9-5.1 (something like that)

Guys with the SS would have a close race with an WRX but would take it afterwards.

but if hes a new driver and you launch yours properly, you might just beat him. Also, not sure what mods you have but im telling you, the Vararam intake made my car an absolute beast compared to what it used to be

Ran two in the 1/8 and they both cut a 1.8 60' time. I was cutting a .2 slower 60' and that was about the margin they both beat me by. Long tubes, and a CAI. FWIW, I had
one of the faster V6s at the time. Fastest positive density altitude time, 8.92 in the 1/8th with a D.A. of over a +600'.

I have a few buddies who have built civics who kept claiming they would leave me in the dust. When we went to my friends closed airport strip. We ran em and I absolutely walked these guys. They used to talk soo much smack it was annoying. Smacked each of them and they all now have a new found respect for the V6 Camaro

My brother has a 2010 subaru wrx and been driving stick for a while he never says stuff he also liked my car he said he woild of liked it more of it was stick lol.

The WRX will beat a V6 Camaro. From a stop, from a roll, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile.`It's a faster car, but it looks like the bastard child of a toad and Ernest Borgnine.

Might want to PM one of the mods and ask them to move this to the Camaro vs... section.

As for the reason they have quicker acceleration you can add gearing to what has already been mentioned. The do well until about 95 mph then have a pretty big gear jump (unless they changed that for the new ones). That's why if you can get them at a closed airport and roll on from 60-70 you will beat them. You car does really well in 3rd and 4th, but 1st and 2nd are just a little too tall for the drag strip.
