I would take them off for sure, it's hard enough to get in the cracks and crevices with them off the car. Plus, how would you do the inside (back) of the wheels with them on the car? Pull 'em off, it's easy enough.

Well my wheels turned out great and I have to admit was tired and did a rush job. Everyone who saw them thinks they were professionally done. Now has anyone did thier rally stripes? Idea has been in my head but need to hear from someone who did it

It's raining today so I thought I'd try this stuff out. I've been toying with the idea of hood spears, so this was a really great way to test if I wanna drop the money on real vinyl or not. It was SO EASY and it looks GREAT, totally matches my front fascia black out! No way I'm going to waste money on graphics after this! One thing tho....make sure you pull the tape up immediately after spraying or it will pull at the product. i waited about 45 sec (srsly) on my first try and had to redo it. The stuff came off absolutely no problem. It took me 2 hours to do everything, including the redo, masking, AND clean up. Awesomenesssss sorry the pics aren't so great they're from my phone OH and I totally eyeballed the masking job. I think it was pretty good if I do say so myself

I really like how ya'lls cars have turned out with this method but I still have a couple questions, and pardon me if I sound incredibly ignorant but I've never worked much with tires.

Currently my plan is to jack the car up, remove all four tires, paint them and my calipers, and then reinstall the tires. My questions are: Will I need to do anything to reset/reconnect the TPMS? Also, how can I ensure the lugs are torqued properly? Are there any special safety considerations I should know about when jacking all four wheels off the ground?

Jack the car up in the correct places. You shouldn't need to reset the TPMS sensors. The wheels should be torqued to 140 lbs/ft .

Okay, the hood spears look great! But wouldn't this do damage to the car's paint?

i made a mistake when doing it the the first time. i waited too long to pull the tape up so when i did, the lines were totally screwed up as in it looked like baby sharks had attacked it. to remove it, i just rolled it up slowly like a big burrito and it came up without ANY problem or damage. it was 100% dry. the product is just liquid rubber so i really don't think it can hurt anything. besides, my car is white, plastidip is black....absolutely no residue or cloudiness left behind and believe me when i say that i checked obsessively before run #2 to make sure i wasn't making a huge mistake lol hope this helps
