I thought that's what the "submarine hatch" trunk and fold-downs are for...quick rear-seat access!

It's like cheese, or home-brewed beer. Worth the wait!!!

Yep, that's exactly how I read it C_C.

As if anyone will actually ride in the back seat.

Ahh, I remember when I ran Cross Country in high school. I was so skinny then I could get into the back seat of my friend's '74 Chevelle without adjusting the seat at all.

Thats great. I thought I heard once that the new GTO's had both seats as full power, and this was a major pain in the butt. Glad to hear that the camaro won't follow suit...

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume Chevy has seen a few race-style seats with perfectly serviceable non-adjustable lumbar support and copied it. Honda apparently did with my Civic. If anything, I'd pull some out if I could.

I also need extra lumbar support, the problem is that I have never sat in a car that had enough. I've always had to make my own, because not even store bought ones from medical supply outlets offer enough support. And if I don't have enough support down there to maintain that hollow in my lower back, it can take a fair amount of time to even be able to stand up straight once I get out of the car.

To you guys who know what I'm talking about and who need the extra support, there is something I've kind of discovered on accident that works better than just about any of the other ones I've made up, and is cheap too. I've found that using a roll of paper towels works great. If you get a small roll, you don't even have to take off the cellophane wrapper. If you get a large roll, just tear off what you don't need and re-wrap it if you can (it will keep the lint off that way). I've found some of the blue shop towel, paper towels work great for me in some vehicles, because they're a smaller roll to start off with, and after they compress, they seam to fit perfectly! I don't know if anybody will want to use something like this on their new Camaro's seats, but if you have to, you have to?!!!

Now, to you guys who are laughing and have no idea what it means to have a screwed up back, I honestly pray you never find out, 'cause it ain't anything I'd wish on anyone!!!!!!!!

From what I've seen in the reviews and pictures you don't want to put anyone over the age of 5 in the back, and I think they would legally require a child/booster seat and that would be a bear to fit in.

.

Hello,

Thanks for all your info!!!

Sounds like the seats will work for short or tall people.

SScattergunSS ...

Thank you for that excellent "paper towel roll" Lumbar idea, I may have to try that on the next "minivan" trip we take. Florida in October for sure, but we'll probably be going to the Wisconsin Dells or somewhere closer between now and then.

Just got to figure out what dia. roll gives me the support I want !!

Doug

I'm beginning to think the size of the backseat (or lack thereof) is being overexaggerated...I sat in the back of a Mustang recently for ~20 min. on a test drive...I was kinda cramped, but not uncomfortable. I'm 6'0", btw...And based on manufacturer dimensions, the Camaro's should be ever-so-slightly more roomy - plus the added legroom when you slide the seat way up like most will need to..

Hopefully once cars start coming in we can get pictures of kids and adults in the back seat for confirmation ... I am with you on this though .. I think it is overexaggerated ..

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me if the back seat is cramped. I'm the driver. :P
