Both the SS and LT/LS have 19 gallon tanks.

That makes sence as well

Transmissions are different. Look in the Wiki section.

19*.75=14.25 and if you wanted to get a little closer you can probably use .8 or .85. 19*.85=16.15

Guess that works then. Man I think we should reduce the tank size! give us a little less weight.

Now in this is a rule of thumb i use to drive to ohio alot and other place. I took long road trips useing the same car same trip. I noticed if i filled at half a tank i would stop like 4 times there. If i did not lets say went to almost E filled to half tank i would stop 6 to 8. So i guess you could say it saves time too less trips to the gas station
my head just exploded.

I don't care which way you cut it, half of 19 is 9.5. Whether you use the upper portion or lower portion of the tank, you still use the same amount of fuel. If you ever took a trig class in high school you would know that you will have the same volume at half/half no matter what the shape. And physics/chemistry will also tell you that no matter what shape a container is, the liquid will mold to its shape. Your logic is definitely faulty.

I'm glad GTA has chimed in. (I won't let him live down that we know he ran out of gas) neither will PQ.

The tank itself wouldn't weigh that much less if it was 16 gallons instead of 19, just fill it less if you want lower weight. Nobody says you must fill it to full. I don't really understand why you would worry about not having power for the weight though, except on the track. The V6 comes stock with similar power to an LS1.

When the car stops moving, that is your next indicator to get some gas.
