You need to decide if you are willing to pay $$$ for microfiber that doesn't scratch your paint. Costco and Sam's Club towels WILL scratch. Been there done that. They are great for cleaning other household stuff but I won't even punish my door jambs with them. Case in point, I used a "Proforce" towel from Sam's to wipe my dash down and went over the stereo face (The clear plastic) a few times with it. The next day, when the sunlight hit it I broke into a cold sweat when I saw the horizontal scratches that I put there with that towel. I'll be able to restore it with some PlastX polish but geez, that is ridiculous
You are a lighthouse of reason in a storm of cluelessness. You like I have learned from experience, the best teacher of all. Not everyone has been unplugged yet so their bliss although blind, is understandable.

Not really to be used for drying, just waxing/buffing, etc.

The waffle towel they sell is meant for drying and might I add is a great towel as well.

That's the one thing that I've heard mixed reviews about from AG. I've heard from too many people that the Cobra towels lint like a SOB. I use Eurow Shag 660s. These are my favorite towels, and at $3 a towel they would be hard to beat.

The waffle towel! It's really made nicely, very soft and can remove a ton of water.

Use them to apply detail spray, remove wax/polish. They can be used to dry but most prefer a waffle weave towel like Adam's Great White Drying Towel.
