I have heard there is no need for an aftermarket throttle body on a new camaro, but I have also heard it couldn't hurt. I would like to know what this forum thinks about it or at least give me some insight. Another thing I'm looking for a cam but not sure what size to get or brand for that matter. I was told just to do headers and a full exhaust, getting cams is whole new ballpark as for modifications to the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The VMax CNC pattern ported unit is stock looking from the outside with good documented gains and needs no tune.

When you flow more air w/o retuning, you are leaning out the mixture - that's what gives you the power gain. The cars typically run a little rich (as a safety margin) from the factory. If you port or change your throttle body, you should definitely get a dyno with a/f measurements to make sure you're not running lean. Lean is very bad.
