I believe you will need to return your car ECM back to stock, remove the Trifecta, in order to install the Hypertech program. Again I would contact Hypertech directly for advice on that. I really wish Hypertech would join the forum

I have almost always teken it pretty easy with the car. Not alot of jack rabbit starts. But with thiese mods I might open up a little more. Just have to watch where you do it around here. There is alot of county roads not far from where i leve. I ll take it out there tomarrow. And have the wife do some filming. That start i did from the stop sign. Just talen the foot of the brake and flooring it. That would have been a great start on a drag strip. From a dead stop and it was gone. Just enough spin on the tires. I am very happy with both add ons.

The newest Gtech fanatic series is operated by their claimed 10hz GPS but I found out very quickly that even the 5 bucks torque app is operated via phone's GPS and another 5 dollar android app called dynomaster I purchased today is also operated through GPS. Im not a tech savvy so I can't say how the GPS module in gtech compare vs a droid phone for an example. I really didn't have a chance to test the gtech like I wanted to and had to end up returning back to jegs to due to the screen going blank but when it did work I guess it worked ![]() The torque app. I have to admit, for 5 bucks you can't really beat what torque can do for you. Able to read knock counts, injector pulse width, vaccum, all generic obd data, GM specific data, and so much more for 5 bucks is insane but to keep torque in the bargain range one would usually pair with the elm327 blutooth obd2 interface from ebay or wherever you can get your hands on one. The problem with using torque with elm327 is that you will notice a huge lag, pauses, and inconsistency throughout. When you datalog it is very important that we know exactly what is going on throughout every rpm range, but when I would datalog using elm327 I would usually get something like this for an example, rpm KR 2000 0 5000 0 6500 0 You get the point LOL. I actually have a log somewhere on my computer. I will try to look for it and post up the actual log. It is ridiculous. Just monitoring is a little better but not by much. I was so frustrated at one point that I actually talk to the developer and he told me that he does not recommend using elm at all. Recommended interface are the more expensive obd link and kiwi wifi adapter, but if you are going to go into that territory you would probably be better off with something like autotap, scanxl, unless you specifically need it on a phone. Just giving you guys my 2c

There is a slight problem with the torque app. If you get wheel spin, the 0-60 times are fried. Not sure how far off the 1/4 miles might be. But as long as you're not spinning tires, you should be good. to see an example of the app used for 0-60 times, see this post in my build thread. The Matrix unit is decent, but very sensitive to positioning and being 100% level. It reads too low if you mis-position it. It has to be on the center of the windshield, completely level side-to-side and front-to-back. The torque reads too high if you get wheel spin. I plan to get a Dashawk for better and more consistent times.
But the key point is the Torque app is consistent. So if you make a change, the times will alter appropriately, so you can tell what the result of the change. And it's super cheap! Good money for a tuning/tracking tool.

Hey guys, repoorrtin back!
So i got Hypertech to check out whatever i installed they told me to plug it in and it sends some flash thingy to them, then i waited a day and they resent a update, installed it and its aloooot better! pretty crazy how they did it, so everything is okay just a few bugs like some fluttering at 2000rpms and it did feel a liiiiitle bit slower then the original tune with the problems though... ANYWAYS i sent them an email and ill wait for a reply, but to get to the point i went to the track today and hooolyy crap, the car went FROM a 14.89@95mph best time(yea i know not to great) to a 14.42@101mph... so almost 5ths and 6mph!!!!! i couldn't be happier but i know it can go better, i couldn't hook tonight it was pretty cold at 14*Celsius and i only got a 60ft time of 2.444 which i usually cut 2.1**s ... definitely some room there to get in the 13s I'm thinking!!! Overall great investment and definitely brings the car to life and i have a manual i could imagine a auto!

I ran a 14.4 @ 95mph on a super hot day, wasn't even fully running premium (had only ran the gas for 3 days, doubt it kicked in yet compared to what I feel now) no tire pressure adjustment, all my speaker stuff in the trunk, and made that time strait from driving off the street. If I make the necessary adjustments, and now with this tune, my goal is 13.9... |

Anyone know if the Hypertech tuner will turn off the CEL you get with LT's?
