Just Curious....

For those that have pre-ordered the ZL1 now, and put money down without knowing how much it will actually cost yet.......Is price no object to you? Or will you reconsider and cancel your order if/when it comes in more than you expected? If that's the case, I suspect there will be several Zl1's available for those that missed out on the first round of orders.

Again...no flames or pointing fingers, just curious....

Not a concern. Even if it is priced the same as the CTS-V, I would still rather have the Camaro. But I don't see it being priced that high. IMO

Price is huge for me as I am on a budget. (cant really go over 60k) My deposit is refundable if I get "priced out" of the car or if I decide I do not want it.

IF I was able to get allocation for one I couldn't have said it any better.

I have a certain number in mind as far as a budget goes...it's generous...and if they price it higher - I'll be absolutely floored. And yes, probably drop the order.

But I've got a real good feeling about this.

And for the record - I haven't even so much as sat inside a ZL1, yet....I ordered the first day it was open to order...have no idea what the price is...and feel as happy as can be about the whole thing.

Ask me to do this exactly 1 year ago? I'd have called you a lunatic.

Cost is always a concern, but I believe we are coming to the end of an era with big displacement V-8s due to the new cafe standards in 2015. Oh, gm will still produce cars that will have plenty of power, but nothing will have the grunt of this powerplant. I believe it is called thunder road. This car will be a beast and I intend to have one. Now if my wife finds out what they cost.

Sat in a ZL1? I haven’t even sat in a 5th Gen Camaro.

I’m with Dragoneye… I have my limit on price like everyone else, but I don’t think it will be exceeded based on my ‘best guess’ at MSRP + options + tax + fudge factor.

I have faith in my own common sense and am completely comfortable in what I believe the price will come in at, give or take a few grand.

Where I am in my life cost is not so much of a
concern as much as the principle of not paying above
MSRP. I plan on paying cash when I buy the car.
It's time to have fun again before it's to late and
my money will be of no use to me when i'm 6 feet under.

I look forward to meeting a number of you at the
camaro Fest 3 next year, and seeing your new ZL1's
hopefully.

I shopped around and my dealer has it writing that I can back if the price is to high. I can afford whatever car I want (Wife wanted me to get a Porsche), I am more into american muscle and have two other toys from europe.

The biggest thing for me MSRP.

I have not sat in a Camaro for a number of years and yesterday I got to sit in the ZL1 Carbon at SEMA. I like the fit and the layout of the instruments is good for me. I wish that we could have turned on the HUD but the battery has to be disconnected for the show.

Pricing will be out well before "actual" orders get placed, so there should not be many missed allocations....
