That sucks. Takes 2 gallons of gas to even buy gas?

From what I have found, if the car kicks itself into the low octane table due to knock it will drop down to roughly 345-350 rwhp....a stock LS3 M6 car on 93 octane in the high (normal) timing table will make 378-385 or so.

So there is a good bit of difference between them, but again it has to kick it into the lower table for it to loose the power.

People fill up with different amounts of fuel left in the tank. So I just standardized it to the fuel capacity. But you make a good point; I guess I could have put "at worst price difference is $3.80"

The gas mileage sucks but the ride is awesome. I knew what I was getting into before I made the purchase. In other words You have to PAY TO PLAY... Thats my motto and I stand by it lol...

When will it go to the low octane table?
Once it sees the 87 octane?
Like from the initial motor turn on from the factory fuel?

Thank god those days are over for me.

I had the low octane table over written with the high octane table when I had it tuned.

Depending on load and RPM there can be a difference of 15' of timing between the high and low octane timing tables.
The worst thing you can do is copy high to low. Tune it properly !
It is not an on / off switch. It is a percentage based on the amount of knock the ECM sees (duration and amount).
