My guess is "made in China" filler door. Low-grade metal, cheaply made, and marked way up by GM....and will probably rust too, if it was made in China.

Thanks for the photos. Very nice. Yep, I'd pass on the Hockey stripes too. I'll be going with Rally stripes if go Victory Red, but may look into having pro-painted on, for long term wear.

It looks like just an install error from when it was cut and put on.

Bring digital camera when you pickup your car and document all things like that. They can fix that stripe.

The stripes do last a long time. We had a thread a while back where I said stickers sucked and bunch of people posted old camaros with good stripes still after years in the sun. Of course painted in is better though.

Better yet the value might be more if something is screwed up and then fixed later. More unique.

I think that might be a big part of it .. well, for ME anyways - I can't stand silver - BOR-ING .. although the splash guards seem stupid/ugly/pointless on any color IMO

It's basicaly a big sticker. That you stick on your car for a design. It is what it is. Get yours painted on if you don't like them. Theres a reason why vinyl designs on cars is the cheap way to go.

Maybe some just don't like the color. Silver is too plain imo. Just kinda blends in with everything else.

The gas cap is kinda growing on me. I think it may look good on other colors. Just not on Silver.

I'll leave the splash gaurds alone.

Ya'll know how I feel about the wheels.
On a Black car too.

Mr. Rodrunner, there was a peace in the force when I delayed the build to go for the white...I'm also shifting the interior to the 2-tone, black/gray. For stripes, I'm praying that GM will add some colors (read BLUE here) concurrent with putting Summit White into production. If not blue striping, then probably the gray or go aftermarket to see what '67/'68 style nose wrap stripe might be available.

The key right now is that I'm finally at peace with my order and will take delivery in between August 20 and Labor Day....

What's the status on yours?

Best,
