So I just got my splash guards installed and had two questions:
1) do these typically get pretty dirty? I've noticed a fine amount of soot from the road being built up on these things just from driving home. All of this dirt typically hits the body instead? 2)Do I need to be careful with low entry? |

I liked mine.... Now I have the Razzi body kit, so if anyone needs a set of GM CGM splash guards in great shape at a great price, PM me.

If you drive on any amount of gravel, or live in a region with dirty/slushy/winter sanded roads these are a must buy. I got mine within a month of ownership. Before I had them I already had a few nicks and scratches on my rear panel and gills. I touched these up and installed the splash guards. 6 months later and there are no new scratches. Paid $150 and do not regret it at all.

They really don't need to be cleaned any more than the rest of the car, maybe a little more if you are obsessive about car cleanliness (who here isn't?). You will notice a lot less dirt and spray on your quarter panels after the install. Here's a tip: if you drive in a snowy climate (you're in NJ so I'm guessing you do) spray the inside of the guards with a liberal coating of spray grease before the snow gets bad and the temp drops below 0. It'll help keep the snowy spray from building up as fast, preventing those huge ugly dirty ice balls on the backside of your wheel wells.

Defiantly it keeps a lot of the road dirt and prevents stone chips.I wouldn't do without them but everyone to their own opinion. I don't think they look to bad.

Same here. I like the look without them, but they are a necessary evil.

I just ordered a set of these the other day. I've always liked them and can't believe I waited as long as I did.
