Reminds me of the late 60's. There may be a bump coming, but it might be down instead of up if the Govt and Insurance Co's step in.

You'll drive yourself crazy always worrying about what will be new 'next' year.
You are 100% right......

True ...... you can not always live thinking about the next year BUT
I think anyone who buys any product and they dramatically change it within 6 mo. would be pissed. Now multiple that anger if said product is 60K. That being said there is no way Chevy will bump the HP after only a few months. They will let Ford have their day like they have with the 5.0 and SS and answer back in 2014 or 2015.

Doesn't one need to have the throne in order to be dethroned? I'm as much of a ZL1 fan as the next girl, but let's be real here. Despite all the great things we know about the car (MR, PTM, 'Ring times, etc), the only people who are proclaiming it "king" are the company that will be producing it and a bunch of people who want it to be king. In fact, has GM ever proclaimed it anything or have they simply stated it will be the best performing Camaro ever?

or if they do bump up the horsepower it would be cool of Gm to do like what Nissan did... when the 2011or 2012 GTR came out with like 40 horsepower more then the 2010 they offered them a deal to upgrade to the same horesepower (for a price of course)..but that way your not missing out.

It's faster than the GT500. You know....the one that actually exists at this point? It's not ON the streets, but 0-60, 1/4 has all been released and it's faster. I'd say that qualifies...I don't need to wait for a magazine to tell me that.

And I have faith it'll outperform the upgraded Mustang, as well.

Regardless, all I meant by my comment was that I'm reading a few people assuming there's going to be a HUGE power increase because they think it's "necessary"...I think that's a dangerous assumption (on two counts), leading to many being disappointed when '13 rolls around with very few changes, if any.

My point was that even GM has not bestowed a title on the ZL1 other than the one I stated.

Of course you do. As a moderator on C5, I think we'd all be disappointed if you didn't!

I agree. Unrealistic expectations yield disappointment every time.
