Here's one of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering using our kits. Their cars are extremely fast. http://sjmmanufacturing.com/forum/vi....php?f=10&t=20

here's another of a customer showing how the system works: http://sjmmanufacturing.com/forum/vi....php?f=10&t=19

There should be some images posted on the forum in here. If you can't find them, shoot me an email and I'll be happy to send one to you. Our kits are mounted on the passenger side to keep it away from heat in addition to allowing ALL customers have zero issues with their supercharger or other modifications on the drivers side (such as the customers car we used as a prototype had modifications that wouldn't allow a clean non-cluttered install on the drivers side).

Here's a pic of an SJM system mounted on the passenger side of the SST if it helps.

I bought the Hurst one cause it was only $150 on sale at Lordco in town here. Gonna wait til spring and see if I can get a brake shop to install it cause the "kit" only comes with a solenoid and a switch.

also, does anyone have some pictures of how they installed theirs? i'd like to see how it looks and where you mounted it.
The kits themselves mount the same, and there are pics of that, so here is my hidden switch location...

This is the power switch to energize the system, the activation switch is the horn... I energize the system, and then tap the horn... if the horn works, then the system is not on... No horn... good to go... water box... roll em over, stop, stand on the brake pedal, push the horn button, smoke em up... and then let off the horn to roll out....

The system swith pictured below is lit up when on, so even with the cover over it, I still see the red glow, and so as I turn off the track, I have a visual reminder to deenergize the system...

For $150 it better have come with the mounting plate for the 5th Gen, brake line specific for the 5th gen, along with all the wires, buttons, and solenoid.

If you got the complete kit for $150 then you got a good deal. I haven't seen them for under $160 + tax or shipping.

I'm waiting till the beginning of the month and then I'll be buying one myself.

I picked up a line lock kit from SJM Manufacturing last month. I picked it up for less than 150.00. From the look of it, they are never over 150.00.

I really haven't performed too many modifications on this car and was leery of installing the kit. I was very surprised the kit was completely assembled in the box.

The kit literally bolted right up. The install went perfect and the kit performs perfectly.

Any Staten Islanders out there?

SJM Is a good kit and you can get them for $150 all day long. Steve answered the phone and answered a few handfull of questions I had.

The biggest reason I'll probably be going with Hurst vs SJM is the mounting point. I like how the Hurst mounts up under the master cylinder and is hidden vs SJM is mounted up in the front by the ABS. IMO the lines draw your attention right away. I was going to look at pre-painting the lines and then wrapping them in plastic during install. You'll probably still have to touch up the paint afterwards though.

IMHO, I think it looks stock. You don't even notice that it is there. The install location was a breeze.

Wow. Obviously I effed up. That could be a lot different though once I had factored in shipping to BC. Or I just heard the word "sale" at Lordco and jumped on it while I could.
