A friend told me a story about remote with a stick.

His B-I-L tells him how he installed a remote start but didn't install the neutral switch. "I won't forget."
As they are leaving the party he says "Watch this!"
And the truck sparks up and drives through the parking lot and across a street and runs into a fence where it finally dies.

I will just use the key.
I have remote start on my Manual Trans SUV, vehicle just has to be parked in Neutral.. if its in gear (i.e. Up a hill, left in 1st etc..) the remote start doesnt work....

Yeah there was a post on here a while back about remote start on an M6. It was a MAJOR undertaking. I can't imagine that $400 would cover that process, but maybe that's accurate, I've not priced it personally. It's all done right though, with the neutral switch, etc; so not some half-assed DIY job. But the procedure that's involved was just stupid-long and needed to be done by a professional. A guy like me would probably take 13 years (or so) to get it done.

I am not sure if there is a difference in price or not from the LS3 to the V6 Isuzu Rodeo with Manual Trans but I paid just over 450$ and it was done by Safe And Sound Auto in Saint Petersburg. That was done in 2004 so 7 Years later and it (Auto-Start) still works everyday ...No complaints here

My $400 quote was for an automatic. We have a great company hyere, reputable, best shop in the area, that does remote starts on manual transmissions. And of course, they are insured. I know the manager. I just texted him and he said it'd "probably be $450."

Can you use the onstar app after your trial subscription runs out or does it only work with a paid subscription?
