What cam are you going with? Do you have an aftermarket converter?

Stock trailing arms are stamped & are a contributor to excessive wheel hop which is not good for the axles/drivetrain. You can purchase quality trailing arms for just over $100, and with your mod's, probably a wise decision.....

Post results when you get this done!

Another thing I would highly consider is getting something to stiffen up the subframe mounts. BMR, Pedders, Pfadt all make products to do this. It will keep your rear end from feeling like it steps out every time it shifts.

I should add I have the BMR subframe inserts and am quite happy with them. They made it much more solid and I didn't notice any difference in NVH. They are the least aggressive option BMR offers.

Did you do the susp upgrades yourself, or have livernois do that also?

I did the Pfadt trailing arms myself. I had the BMR bushings done at Walsh Motorsports. The bushing inserts seemed like more trouble than it was worth to do in my garage and something I didn't want to attempt in the winter. I'm definitely glad I had the bushing inserts done at a shop. I had a friend do the Pfadt ones on his own and it was difficult (he had a lift and access to professional tools as well).

If the car is already at Livernois I would at least ask them about it. I know they do these mods.

No, I think he will make a bit more than that. The 2r is a fairly aggressive cam.

If that was for me, yes, the car is certainly a beast with the 2c, the 2r should be exceptional.

As the other great folks here have answered, the trailing arms and bushings are super quick, very cheap, high gain suspension mods for traction. I'm starting to work on more suspension mods now.

You'll be pleasantly surprised with your car when the professionals at Livernois get finished.

I did all my susp mods myself including subframe bushings on jack stands. I also had a converter put in at livernois and love it!

Are you having a stall speed converter installed? You should consider it. I'd be surprised if Rick or Andy haven't mentioned that to you. I have a 2R Max in my LS3 and it is very rumpity at idle. I couldn't imagine it in an automatic with a stock converter. Your car is going to be transformed into a beast.

You will be happy with the crew at Livernois. Top notch people and shop.

Rdblan2 – That’s impressive! That’s a big jump in power. It must have felt like a whole new animal.
