Ok, try this:

Chevylaunch / CAMARO

There we go... thanks!!!! That must be a recent addition as it wasn't there when I checked a while back. No offense to you but that is a MUCH better bargaining chip than "but but but CamaroScotty said....".

www.chevylaunch.com is a site that dealers (or anyone that knows a dealer BAC code) have access to with general product launch information.

May I join in?

If a dealer accepts Supplier, Military, etc. and sells the Camaro for the price on the invoice listed as GSU, that is the price you will pay if you get a dealer to do so. If the dealer tries to deliver the car under a program that is not compatible, the dealer will lose the reimbursement from GM. You get your car at that price no matter what you call it.

Whether or not GM offers these discounts, it is voluntary on the part of the dealer to honor that price.

Remember that these GM Purchase Programs are not compatible with GM Card incentives in most situations (except GM Extended Family Card).

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but specifically on the Camaro... will the dealer actually get reimbursed any money? If so, how much (let's use a 2SS as example)? How much would they, themselves, be "losing" out on versus MSRP?

They get a small amount (less than 2%) to get the price back to invoice. So, the dealer is out his profit from MSRP to Invoice.

That's why most dealers don't honor it on new, hot vehicles. It's like throwing money into the wind.

The OP's dealer should have just been up front and said they just didn't want to do it instead of the song and dance.

Maybe us military guys should just start letting the bombs fall.....maybe that would change their mind. Its a small price they have to pay for freedom.
