The OP's dealer should have just been up front and said they just didn't want to do it instead of the song and dance.
But isn't the supplier price on the Camaro already above invoice? So they wouldn't get anything back at all then, right? It would be just like them selling the car to you at that price without any sort of backing from GM.

Is the Camaro going to be offered at G.M.S pricing?

Camaro will be eligible for GMS, Supplier, Dealership Employees, and Military Discount among other corporate discount programs. Please review eligibility requirements to ensure incentive compatibility.

Thanks Scotty,

I guess I will try and present this and see what comes of it. Probably nothing, sigh...

It just sucks, I feel like I gave the wrong people my $500.00 for a down payment.

I've never seen any military friends/family with this kind of attitude.

You're not entitled to a discount just for being military. That attitude is shameful and almost embarrassing.

I agree, as a member of the US Air Force, I thank GM for offering these discounts to us. When I look at the other manufacturers, while their discounts are not as good, I still say thanks to them for every little thing they do to help Military Members with their vehicle purchases.

No company is obligated to discount their products for military, it is their choice to do so.

I am retired Air Force, and I never expect this discount...IF they give it then it is great....but it is certainly not an entitlement.

Wow you guys have got soft. I just thinks its a simple thank you businesses can give and about 95% of them do, i avoid places that dont. Funny that after 9/11 everyone was bending over backwards for service members, not so much anymore......

I tried to find that out too, and the most specific answer I was able to find here was "around $800 below MSRP depending on trim and options."

As far as I know supplier discounts can be added with GM card points...someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Gone soft or being professional? I can understand actively looking for a discount, but saying things like "Maybe us military guys should just start letting the bombs fall..." is absolutely unprofessional.
