Rub marks on exports to Europe?

I wonder if anyone has heard anything about convertible top rub marks on 5th Gen 'verts to the European market, Germany, for instance? They just hit the European shores late Fall.

I imagine they're having problems with them too, as they're also assembled at the Oshawa plant.

hi from the old world
we were planning to buy an L99 vert
we even had a test drive in a coupe LS3. the car was a great drive
first we were turned away by the only deales in a 50 mile radius
we wanted to add a set of wintertires (you have to have them by law here), a satnav (the euro camaros do not have on star) and an extended warranty to the bill
reply: we do not have, take it or leave it
then we found all the threads about the vert top probs here in camaro 5
and finally we took the decission to order a BMW Z4 S drive 35i
back to your question
there a only a few demonstrator cars in the dealer show rooms
people who orderer as soon as they could order from end of october 2011 were told the cars should be here in april
now they are told the cars will come in may
take a look at camaro2010.de
so right now most people waiting for their verts still do not know what catastrophy is ahead of them

sorry to tell you
we have the first member of camaro 2010 dot com

reporting a broken 5th. bow

he is not aware of the prob yet

he thinks that something has come loose after he did not use the tonneau cover
but he is reporting a gap (as wide as a man's hand) between the rear of the roof and metal of the rear deck

will keep you updated

Don't forget to remind him about the info here or on our facebook site;

While recently we had indications that GM is accepting responsibility of the problems, their actions seem to contradict their words (see Dave Cader).

Keep us posted. We will do what we can here. It may be time to go back into attack mode with GM.
