Who ever said anything about video games? Oh I see, it has all those doohickeys. Lol.

Sports cars are still in fact cars, (who would of thought). And that 90% of people never take to a track. In fact most people use them to do the exact same thing people do in non sports cars. Go to work, pick up the kids, go hang out. You know, life.
If you don't want a display, then why not just rip out all the ones currently in your car?
The fact that they are monochrome must mean they are ok and fit the standards of the 60's.
Is your analog tv also black and white? I assume it's analog cuz you don't like color screens.
You know most of these sports cars have these things, even the ones you call muscle cars. Except for one.

I care very much about modern technology. And 99% of the time when im driving my iPhone is where it should be. In my pocket. I don't answer calls while I'm driving either because I find, (personally for me) it's a lot more distracting than a screen that I can willfully choose to ignore, just like the speedo.

Damn iPhones, we don't need no stinking computers either hu?

Well for some people it works like this:

If the Mustang has it and Camaro doesn't, then it's worthless and sucks.
If the Mustang has it and Camaro has it, then Ford copied Chevy.
If the Camaro has it and Mustang doesn't, then it's awesome.
If the Camaro is lacking in certain features like a light-up vanity mirror, then it doesn't need it because it's a sports car, not a luxury car (light up mirrors, really?)

Something like that

I had that feature in a Kenwood head unit in my previous vehicle. It was fun to play around with it for all of about a week, then I was bored and never used it for 5 years. I do like the other (non track) features of the Mustangs info center though.

Cop: "How in the HE-LL did you manage to run off the road and flip your car?!?!"

Mustang Guy: " I was reading my little display for how fast I got to 60 and missed the turn!"

Cop: " Too bad you didn't have a Heads Up Display for that! Here's a ticket for failure to maintain control..dumbass!"

You hit the nail on the head.
I can understand a friendly rivalry. But a lot of the flat out blind hate towards anyhing ford just makes u look stupid. Anyone who thinks the mustang isn't a nice or just as nice car as the camaro is clearly sipping the koolaid. Sure it may not look as nice to you but that's all subjective. I don't think it's ugly, but the camaro looks better to me.

That is SWEET!

Ford seems to be more geared towards to connecting with the driver when it comes to electronics.

If I had the money right now, those GT500 apps would sell the car over the ZL1 any day. Better listen up, GM!

This video shows one trick the 650-hp 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has up its sleeve -- a set of built-in track apps that's like a built-in J.C. Whitney catalog in the instrument panel.

Likely caught by a recent auto show attendee, (and props to them for thinking of it) the apps include a host of measurements like cylinder head temperature and intake air pressure that hard-core tuners need to wring the most from their vehicles -- and far more advanced than the monochrome visuals available from the Camaro's dash. Ford already builds something similar into the F-Series pickups -- allowing truck drivers to see stats like grade angles.

The Boss version of the Mustang already offers the Track Key system that resets a host of controls for track duty. There's already rumors floating that Ford will extend that system and use even more advanced software controls to overcome the drawbacks of the Mustang's chassis design to beat the speeds of the Chevy Camaro ZL1. That's it, boys and girls. Give yourself to the Dark Side.

Why do i need or want to know the CYLINDER HEAD temp/ like i can do anything about it , that's over board useless info for the driver to know that at any moment , wast of time , money and energy to design that gismo .
