That's about what I was thinking...a few of the measures in there seem to only be in there for sake of saying they are...

Most of that data is modeled from other parameters. It is broadcat over the CANBUS to the IP DIC. Not much value in it and very simple to do. I see no reason for a response of any kind. Neat but not useful to anybody.

I like the tech that will be in the next GT500 no issue saying that, but I still think HUD is allot more cool and useful since it keeps the drivers eye on the road. Now if Ford included HUD with that info readout in their car then it would be awesome, when I trade in for a ZL1 later this year HUD will be the technical feature I most am looking forward too. As far as I'm concerned as much as I admire what Ford has done with the Boss and Gt500 no response required from Chevy HUD compared to what Ford has is like a fighter plane with JHMCS and one without.

If the Camaro is lacking in certain features like a light-up vanity mirror, then it doesn't need it because it's a sports car, not a luxury car (light up mirrors, really?)

Something like that
some people need to lighten up a little

Challengers already have stuff like this- not all of it but 0-60 times and such. Lets stop advertising for these other companies. If you think the trinkets are cool- go buy a Ford, get on the mustang forums and be happy that at every stoplight you'll see a car that looks just like yours Im sticking with my SS

GM shouldnt answer to little fancy gadgets. Answer to power increases, technology that adds more fuel economy, or answer to the 302 boss. @412 horses it is a bit faster than Chevrolets 426hp or 400. What does Ford do for 2013? Adds 8 more horsepower. What does Chevy do, nothing.

I always love to hear about small upgrades. The 2012 should have at least 430-434 horses by now, and the dual mode performance exhaust should already be an option. Automatics should have received an power bump already. GM. Keep your loyal customers entertained.

Chevrolet has nothing to compete with Dodge Chargers, ford Taurus SHO. Instead GM procrastinates, meanwhile consumers buy the competition.

What does Ford have to answer the Volt? Corvette? How's the Focus doing against the Cruze? F150 vs Sierra/Silverado? Lincoln fending off Buick real well?

You're not wrong...but at the same time, to say GM's procrastinating would be a little inaccurate. And they happen to be #1 in the world again, this year.

And 426/400 is nothing to sneeze at off the showroom floor either. You want more? Chevy answered that with the ZL1.

Chevy also answered with a v6 that was just shy of what the Mustang GT was putting down for '10. AND with 29 mpg.

Pretty good answer in my book.

When Toyota was #1 in the very recent past, it seems the sentiment around here was that was what did them in. They were compared to pre-bankrupt GM, in that being number one led to complacency and arrogance. Now that the tables have turned again, it's a touted as a positive thing. It's good to have an American auto maker on top again, but I hope history doesn't repeat itself.
