its like you can hear a pin drop.... makes me think there is something that they do not want us to know.... like a MAJOR problem.

I honestly don't anticipate receiving my car until well after the rest of the pre-solds are built. I think they are building us all new cars.

There's got to be something major for this kind of time frame. Maybe they are using ours for teardown practice to see how long repairs for all the systems should take for the labor hours and such.

It just pisses me off that the best response we can ever get about any of this is;

"do you want them right or right now?" or

"you wouldn't be able to be in this situation if these were Ferraris"

Well, you know what, these aren't Ferraris, they're Chevrolet Camaros.

Can't say that I blame you my friend. I'm getting a little tired of the wait myself. Can't quite afford a Z06 yet, but that's what I'd get instead.

Just a little honesty and consideration from GM would be appropriate IMO. It is just ridiculous what is going on. Guys preordering 10/08 and not even getting built yet!? Guys ordering and getting their car in a month!?!? The fun and excitement has been taken out of this for me. And it is not necessarily all about MY car. It is GM attitude. The principle of the whole situation. I feel as though I have been played.

I still think most of delay is on purpose so May 6th has a bigger meaning.National unveiling day. They want each lot loaded with potential customers. They don't want alot of Camaros on the road before then. After May 6 you will see a faster build -delivered process. Be patient a couple more weeks.6 weeks is normal wait time for ordered unit so a extra couple for the camaro should be expected.

Good luck on whatever you end up doing. I don't think either way will be a bad choice.

Just sad GM's gonna be on the losing end.

It's gonna take more than a few to cancel for them to see how these actions affect us..........if they ever see it.

I guess it's gonna be up to the Fed and UAW if the restructuring goes though.

They still have one week to keep my business, both now and in the future...But, after that I will never again purchase from GM. I know it may be harsh, but I expect a lot when i am spending this kind of money.

If they keep it up, they won't have to worry about lots full. There gonna have more than they expected.

I respectfully disagree with your "be patient a couple of more weeks" suggestion. 6 weeks is not the norm obviously when cars built last week are being delivered as we speak. We don't know how many have been delivered. We just see the small % that's on here and the other forums. We're already in week 7 for those of us still stuck in Pontiac and 10-11 weeks is totally unacceptable for this. HTF does it take that long to reflash a computer and swap out a power steering pump. There's more going on obviously.

I would think the exact opposite applies to having cars on the road before an unveiling. People see it and if they are interested, they'll look some more or stop one of the cars to see what it is, THEN they go to a dealership .......90% of the public still doesn't know anything about May 6th. Why would they, it's not like there's been any advertisement for it. It's more of an enthusiasts event locally like Indy was last year.

How are you going to take money back from GM???? They dont have your money if you dont have the car! If you gave a deposit, you gave it to the dealer, and NOT to GM, just so you understand the difference.

That said, it would be very nice to know what is going on, but hey, we will all get them........ its not going to kill anybody to wait a little while...... its just feels like it!

I feel your pain as I prepare to take delivery of my VIN 4000 range 2SS next week....the time has gottten past ridiculous for the early build cars....I assume they are first priority, but there must be a supply chain problem.

No excuses really, but I guess we need to keep in mind what is going on with cash flow, labor uncertainity, and vendor supply strains at GM just to name a few. I can only assume how crazy it must be working for an orginization under so much financial and political scrutiny.

I consider myself fortunate to have the means to celebrate the arrival of one of these new F-bodies while so many others are struggling. Every new car I've bought has been a GM product...I still believe they make some of the finest cars in the world ...tape-a-wieght calipers included!
