Kudo's and a top fix update

I just got back from the dealership and ordered up my 2012 1SS Crystal Red black on black auto vert.
I would like to give a big shout out Thank You to Al O, Jack P, Janice my Chevy rep, Mark and Gene at Friendly Chev in Fridley, MN. And super shout out to this forum for all the help you have provided me. You helped me get into a new car and I should have delivery in late April or early May.

Top fix update. All the fixes are currently on the production line and one more is going into production next week. Hopefully all the fixes are in for the new cars and will trickle down to those that are having problems with the 11's and 12's.
This info came from my service manager who talked to the guy at the top of the chain.

That is about it for now. I will still be active on this and the Facebook page as I am in this for the long haul for all of you. We are brothers in arms and I will not stop until every last car is fixed.

YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!! I hope this is the end of this craziness. Mine is back getting ''fixed'' again but this is good news incase my car is too far gone I could get an updated one off the line and be confident that it will be problem free. Then I will be happy to start my apology tour as promised.

Great news...sounds like GM might have it figured out, and therefore there should be fixes for verts already on the road.

That is what I am hoping for. I had the option to get one off the lot now. I asked couldn't I just order one that way I give myself more time for the fix. The higher ups said just order one that way there is less opportunity to have a repeat performance this time around.

Glad to see GM is stepping up to the plate.Since you have the contacts see if you can keep pushing so that all the vert bretheren have their problems looked after.

I am working on it. All I know is that my service manager told my that corporate told him that I made quite a bit of noise. That brought a smile to my face. We are being heard.

Just got mine back today- I've already had the top replaced & now the 5th bow. This time, each back corner (inside) is hanging loose & the fabric shelf that holds the top when it's down was not connected to the back of the car.

Service manager admitted this is totally the technician's fault & is going to make up for it. The tech told me that when he replaced the top, per the TSB he put some heavy tape on the brackets that were causing the rub marks.

Hopefully this "permanent fix" will come down & I can be done taking this car in to the service department...Get it to us GM!

Like the water management fix just issued, I have been told by my dealership the top fix is being spot tested on verts on the lots to make sure everything works correctly on the install not effecting anything else. Seems like just a little longer.

I agree nut. We shall see at this time next year once summer is over if the new ones off the line and the ones with problems now are showing any wear or not. I sure hope this time next year we are telling fun stories of our cars and not how many problems we have/or had.

We'd have quite the loss on our hands if you did.

To have such passionate enthusiasts on board is a big part of what makes this website great!

To expect everyone to be happy with 100% of each other 100% of the time isn't gonna happen...there are highs and lows, as in anything.
