It could be overexposed in the show lighting.

It may look good on the darker cars like black and CRT too... easy take off if someone gets it and doesn't like it..

It does look a bit overexposed and hence that exaggerates the light gray color being portrayed in this photo. However, even with that said, I'm not seeing this as a good match to the exposed insert. I'm thinking it's going to look a little off, especially on a car without a sunroof. But like I said before, I'll reserve judgement for later.

Here's my quote from another thread in regards to what I thought the vinyl stripe would look like. IMO, this material would be a much better match than the seemingly lighter gray, non-metalllic stripe we're seeing at the Toronto show.

Boy I am glad I went with the black. I was thinking that it would be a CF pattern atleast.

That sticker is surrounded by dark paint which makes it look darker to the eye. If you were to make a big-a$$ sticker out of that material...I'm not sure it would match the darkness of the CF insert very well...

Frankly -- I think they would have done well to just use Cyber Gray vinyl. But...there's a reason I didn't order a stripe without know what it looked like...

Actually I posted those pics. Anyway it really is that light. Surprised me as well. I thought it would be a darker gray but it's a very slivery medium gray. Looks horrible. And for the price (especially if the sunroof cars don't get a roof piece) it's a total rip off.

Are you sure its eads to take off? What would it look like under once removed? Would it have to be re-clearcoated?

Agree, that is an expensive 'trunk only' stripe. Hopefully they can color match the antenna for the people who do decide to get a stripe and sunroof.

Yup... seen a few peel their stripes off... If I'm not mistaken a little heat helps it come right off. Maybe some others who have actually done it can chime in. No problems I've seen w/ clearcoat... especially if it hasn't been on there long.

+1 Cyber Gray stripes have looked good on every single color out there, period...

Come on GM, You guys have test groups that view these types of applications. You guys are telling us that the majority of those people felt that this was a color that would bring POP or excitement to wanting to order this stripe? I think you guys really need to go back to the color pallet and rethink this option as I doubt you'll sell much of it.

No, I don't think it was ever intended to mimick CF, ala Transformers. But nobody knew exactly which shade of gray it would appear.
