It wouldn't be a difficult fix actually. They could just design something which would be applied to the back of the fascia thereby eliminating any chance of paint damage. Despite this problem or the weights, I still want my car yesterday.

That’s always a possibility but we still need GM to look into it. I'm sure they will, probably not soon enough for most of us. My order was submitted to build last Thursday.

If this is the case, GM needs to deliver fully painted brand new bumpers with braces to the dealers and no quick bodywork fix and repainting by the dealer.

This problem suuuucks!!! If my Camaro cracks there it will have a few more "cracks" very shortly after....Maybe a clear bra will hold it together? LoL

I think the problem is the title and some of the responses. Is it a problem - yes, is it "huge" - well let's see what the real cause is first. Let's have a reasonable concern and follow up.

It looks as though just the paint is cracked.? I agree with some of the above comments that 'Too Tight' can cause stress cracks just as much as 'not enough bracing'.
Also as said above, it might be easy to prevent before it happens. Give them a chance. |
