It wouldn't be a difficult fix actually. They could just design something which would be applied to the back of the fascia thereby eliminating any chance of paint damage. Despite this problem or the weights, I still want my car yesterday.

That’s always a possibility but we still need GM to look into it. I'm sure they will, probably not soon enough for most of us. My order was submitted to build last Thursday.

If this is the case, GM needs to deliver fully painted brand new bumpers with braces to the dealers and no quick bodywork fix and repainting by the dealer.

Waiting vs getting right away? Waiting after ORDERING a car vs "waiting for the right time" which is apparently what you're doing are two COMPLETLY DIFFERENT THINGS.
Oh, I've saved my $ and will be paying CASH!

Now you can go away son, go away!
you read the thread one car, one car has the issue. so far. we haven't heard of any other cars with this issue and if it was an issue it would have come up a long time ago. hell with the way this site is we would have known about it months ago. but obviously you read half the posts I've posted.

and even if I had put money down I've waited this long why not another few months? especially if this is a problem.

I think the problem is the title and some of the responses. Is it a problem - yes, is it "huge" - well let's see what the real cause is first. Let's have a reasonable concern and follow up.

Make sure its a sports bra. Don't want that front end bouncing around too much!

I am okay with it as long as it doesn't crack until you hit 150 mph....

It looks as though just the paint is cracked.? I agree with some of the above comments that 'Too Tight' can cause stress cracks just as much as 'not enough bracing'.

Also as said above, it might be easy to prevent before it happens.

Give them a chance.
