I really can't stand it. Especially right now when I'm barely making money to survive, it just seems I keep getting upstaged by my siblings.

Look at it this way. you should be thrilled they are doing so well you don't have to take care of them in your old age. BTW my siblings didn't go through a divorce soooo I could look at your way -but I won't- I'm happy that they never have to go through all this crap. (or have to borrow money from me to help them!!!) I'm in lawyer debt but I know this is just temporary. Now -change your attitude!

I like being "On the top of the food chain"...but I really couldn't stand (as a kid) being deprived of the permission to do things, because we had to keep the other three who can't do them happy.

It's nice to have everybody look up to you...but all three tend to try and shoot me down so that my shadow isn't to big, and my bar isn't set too high...so technically I guess its my fault for being so perfect.

I don't want to have more than two kids, though...coming from a family of 6 on an 'acceptable' income...we don't get many nice things, nor do we go on vacation for week at a time twice a year like the Joneses do. I want my kids to be spoiled, yet humble. That's not too much to ask, is it?

Anybody lookin' for a 5-seater Camaro needs to look at a G8! WTH - sacrifice some style (and a little performance) for practicality!
All kidding aside though, I went thru this dilemma 20+ years ago and I really feel your frustration!
I was coming up on having owned my '85 Mustang GT 5-speed ragtop for 10 years... and my kids were just gettin' too darned big! (today, they're 6'4" and 6'2" respectively...)
At the time, GM offered nothing comparable with a stick, so I got a '94 Taurus SHO. Bottom line was that it filled the bill and... I didn't need a winter beater! ('cuz it was a Ford!)
So take a look at a G8 GT with a stick (next year) if having 5 belts is a priority.

Best regardSS,

Elie

well my camaro will be mine..and i'll use it as my daily driver. i'm not looking to use it to cart around the family in all the time. that's what we have that big ol' gas guzzlin '03 Tahoe for! i was just wondering if it would at all be possible...since my kids are still pretty young right now. (8,6,4). i mean if my wife was gone, and had the truck...i could still fit all my kids in the 'maro....and be out! but if that really nice weekend comes along and you just want to take the family out for a sporty ride...it'd be nice to know that no matter which of our cars, (even my old neon) i pick...my whole family can fit.

so to you garfin, i simply refuse to sacrifice my 'maro for one extra seat!!! lol

on another note...from looking at one of the mule pics in here...i'm super excited that a sunroof looks like it could be an option!!!!! i love the sunroof in our tahoe...and with how low that 'maro roof is going to be.... i'd like to open up that space a little bit from time to time!

Yeah, same here really.

And definetly agree about the whole thing about being a family of six. We've had some fun though over the years, but I don't plan on getting as many as four kids myself, and that really is one of the reasons.

Seems to be quite a few of us here! I wonder if it's connected to the Camaro fandom...

In the front seats. I'm 6'5" There's no way someone my size can fit in the back seat behind me when I'm driving. It's like trying to fit people my size into the back seat of a porsche. Won't stop me from getting the car though.

I would never do this again, and it was a long time ago - about 10 years ago - I actually fit 7 people including (myself) :party0038: in my '87 Camaro for a "Quick" 150 mile round trip from south of Boston up to New Hampshire and back. Three people sat in the back seat, and one more sat accross all of them, Two people sat in the front passenger seat (one of them was almost crushing my console), and I drove the whole way with the windows down just to make it a little worse. It was funny at the time, but rediculous and uncomfortable to say the least. No wonder it eventually blew up on me! I think i'm getting
