sub install trouble

ok, I have the ******** x3 harness to add an aftermarket sub amp and subs, I have a monoblock amp, and 2 dual 2 ohm voice coil subs, they are wired series parallel and will run at 2 ohms, now the problem, The amp powers up and the amp turns on with the remote turn on wire, but, no signal to subs!!! seems like i am getting no rca outout from the subthuimp harness? all i can see when i try to connect the rca outs to the rca to the amp is that when i first plug in the rca, and i dont put it all the way in, i get a little movement from the sub, then nothing! its like if i just barley put the rca in to the rca out on the x3 its makes the sub jump then thats it, any ideas what i did wrong or my problem, all positives and negatives are right, i am leaning towards a bad harness? help!!!! steve? I am thinking of just ordering another harness, but hate to do that unless i know

wow ok, um yeah so it kinda sounds like you have something wired wrong. Being a mono amp should not matter, using those RCA's should not matter, as long as it's all wired correctly.

all other are working, and yes, its wired as in the above diagram, i have been reading on here that some amps are having problems with the dc voltage? something about a ground loop isolater? problem is, i have nothing but a little movement from my subs when i put the rcas in to each other at the x3 harness, when pushed in all the way nothing, was thinking of trying the ground loop isolater

ground loop isolator eliminates noise, I don't know what others here were using it for.

If your sub is activating when you plug in the RCA, that leads me to believe that your are getting some sort of signal from them. Try the other set of RCA's. Are you sure the light your getting on your amp is the power light? It's not going into protection mode or anything right?

Do you happen to have another sub you can hook up and see if it works? Then you know it's your subs/subs wiring, or hook your subs up to a friends amp, if they work then you know it's your amp/harness wiring.
