Nooooo!!! We recently bought a 9 x 9 for $85 from wally world and no rolling case. Who knows where the receipt is?

Looks like Big 5 had the better deal. Oh well, we will bring our wally world rip-off canopy to the airshow as well.

Lots of beautiful show cars and straight liners on here. Anybody want to really use them on a track? www.nasaaz.com has an event coming up 5-6 May. Here is some vid from my last lame attempt. More HP and torque now, but still haven't got around to the suspension and sticky tires

No problem. Yes there is a light sensor, at least there is on my car (2SS/RS). I'm not sure about the other models.

An awesome deal! I just got mine and I used the coupon at this link to save me an extra $10. With tax it was a little over $90.
Thanks Glen for the heads up!!

I call mine Afterburner. Kinda has a Stealth fighter/fighter jet look to it I think, especially in CGM.

DM Car Show Information:

This is from Bill's email, I will email this out to everyone as well:

This will be the final e-mail prior to this weekend's Air Show. I will attach a list of those going and which day you plan to attend. If you can not attend, or if you find any other problem with the list please contact me ASAP. Those on the list will be the only one's allowed to show their vehicles, or come in with our group.

SATURDAY:

I will be leading the Saturday group. We will meet at the Chevron Giant Mart at Valencia and I-10 at 06:00 AM. Yep, 6AM. We must leave there for the entrance to the base no later than 06:15 AM and be at the gate at 6:30 AM. The military changed the time from 7:30 to 6:30,,,Sorry, I know it is going to be a long day, but hopefully it will be worth it.
Take exit 267 Valencia from I-10. The Chevron station will be on the east side of the interstate.
While at the Chevron station we will sign the waiver forms and I will collect the $20 (check or cash) per car. There is a Jack in the Box there where you can get coffee and something to eat if you want. We must ALL arrive at the gate at the same time. I was told that stragglers would not be admitted after we enter.

SUNDAY:

Larry Woods will be leading the Sunday group. The meeting times and gate arrival will be the same as Saturday. If the Sunday group needs to contact Larry, you can e-mail him at; rillito@msn.com

Some of you may have read in the newspaper what you can or can not bring onto the base. That does not apply to us, that is for spectators. We are considered a vendor/static display We may bring in what ever we need such as canopies, chairs, coolers with food and non-alcoholic drinks. DO NOT bring in weapons of any kind or alcoholic beverages. Our vehicles and persons are subject to search and probably will be. You won't be allowed to enter if you refuse. Also, you might want to bring a small slot headed screw driver. We will have to check our tires for stones prior to entering the flight line. Its much easier to pry out any stones with the screw driver than your fingernails.

You will be required to show Photo ID at the gate so be sure to bring your Driver's license. They will match this ID with the cleared list they have. Please do not bring anyone with you whose name was not submitted and cleared. They will not be admitted.

I think this about covers the info you will need. I know this sounds very restrictive, but its not as bad as it sounds. Once we get on the base and set up our display, I'm sure you will enjoy the day. Even as long as it is.

Thank you for signing up to show your vette/camaro and making our display great.

Bill Akers, Sonoran Desert Corvettes.

This week's meeting:
Our meeting this Thursday for 7PM at Sir Veza's Taco Garage, 220 W. Wetmore (in front of the JC Penny’s Entrance at the Tucson Mall where Marie Callenders used to be). They will block off 15 parking spots, and reserve one of the patios for us to accommodate 20 - 25 people. (Thank you Bob Taylor for setting this up) Please let Bodi (Bob) know if you are going, I am going Bob . We will talk about coming up with a date for a mod day. A mod day would include anyone wanting to add/subtract something from their car, that is not above the most talented person at the mod days level

Your best bet is to come to The Big City. Everyone here recommends The Specialists on Wetmore and AutoMall Drive in Tucson. I don't know of anywhere in that region.
