I'm sure someone will either make an LED with the new base or make a small harness adapter to plug into the car and then adapt to the P13W bulb. |

I have the same problem in my 2012 SS/RS. I ordered mine from AAC as well, and when they didn't fit correctly or lock in, I called AAC and told them the issue. They advised me to "shave" off that guide that's on the opposite side of the stock bulb, then to "trim" the housing of the bulb so it would fit in the stock harness...nothing worked. I just decided to send the bulbs back and wait to see if anyone comes out with a bulb that will fit the, apparently, new 2012 DRL harness.

I just recieved the P13W Plasma LEDs from ACC for my 2012 Camaro RS. Guess what??? The base doesn't fit (sound familiar). I was told to cut off the tabs. I think I'm sending them back. Can't see spending $100+ for lights that need modifications. I wouldn't mind dealing with cutting the tabs off the base but they wont even snap into the connector to secure them as with the stock bulbs per many others on this forum.

Contact this guy and a set for $28 bucks!! Modify them to work and you're good to go. I already did this and they work and look great.

Take the o-ring off of your stock bulb and put it on the new one. Basically double up on the o-rings. Works like a champ. Nice tight fit.

Yep..either double up or go down to ACE Hardware and buy a heavier o-ring.

Update on this... sorry I took so long.
I installed the bulbs, I applied the OEM O ring in addition to the O-ring on the bulbs. The snap in perfectly. The socket does not "lock" on the bulbs but does hold together. I didn't put any tape but I haven't had any problems in over a week. Keep in mind the bulb will have to be shaved where the tab is. |

DRL for 2012 built after January 2012
The DRL (fog lights) for Gen 5 Camaro built after January 2012 is a psx26w. If you have an active warranty, replacing the bulb with any other will void your warranty. Unfortunately, nobody is making a color bulb in the psx26w. The only bulb you can get right now is a white bulb. If anyone knows where to get a psx26w in amber or orange please post.
