It's been said before, Ford gave you a freebie in working on the trans with your mods and then you got mad because they didn't want to work on it again for an unrelated problem. They should have denied you any warranty work from the beginning. That is the only wrong done.

When you make the decision to mod the car, you accept responsibility for fixing it when it breaks. Period. You need to learn accountability and responsibility for your own actions.
Torque management was still on just not to the degree that the factory had it set. I had the shop turn it down. Now whether they turned it down or off, I'm not sure. They are a ruputable shop and know what they are doing when tuning cars.

I really wish they had denied me warranty from the beginning, I wouldnt have wasted a month driving a crappy loaner fusion that made funny tapping noises. But they didn't. They said they would fix the trans. But they didn't. They patched it. Low and behold, the problem came right back. Take the car back, all of a sudden it's like I'm speaking French. I think what scared them was that they were either gonna have to buy me a new trans or my car was gonna get lemon lawed. I really think thats why they said no the second time.

You can say whatever you guys want, but how many people on here have modded their cars, then broken something, and then the dealer fixed it? It's like all that is new to you. And yes I talk shit about them because guess what? The trans is weak. Whether you like to hear it or not, it's not very well made. If yours works great good for you. I cease to care about it. I found a much better car and low and behold, it's got a trans that is actually rated for higher torque and I can find parts for it almost anywhere. I'll stick with my 6060 and you guys can go wait for your time bomb trans to blow out from under you.

Since you were still upset with the noise, you traded it in. It's America, you can choose to do whatever you want, but no need to lie about what happened when you've posted the true story on multiple places but come on here trying to save face.

Instead, you're sitting here hurling insults at people, then as soon as they reply to you, immediately run behind the "stop attacking me" card, or the "this is a Camaro site, so please do not correct me on Mustangs, even though I will say whatever inaccurate informaiton I want, since I own a Camaro"

Wow, a 13.3 @ 113... even my wife who has never taken a car down the track before got hers to go 12.5 bone stock in her 3.31/MT82 Premium car. It's the car's fault, not yours.

You don't say, so you went to the drag strip, you think you broke your trans, but figured since you ran crappy times you wanted Ford to foot your hot rodding bill. You also bought your car used but, have no idea what the previous owner did to your car, but it's still Ford's fault because "their car sucks". Especially because they denied your modded car that had powertrain mods, a warranty claim.

but wait a minute, Ford did work on your transmission, and when you accepted it back, it did feel acceptable to you, until "YOU" started to drive it again. The engine noises, are what Ford would not warranty since you probably did the intake manifold install incorrectly.

So instead of trying to locate your own self imposed issues, you immediately looked for an automatic GT Mustang to trade in, but since it was in February they were doing the model year changeover so inventory was at a low for new, this of course is immediately Ford's fault that you couldn't find an automatic GT Mustang to your liking during that time frame, so you figured may as well trade it in.

It's your money, you do what you want, but coming on here acting like a badass and that your car broke, and the transmission is junk was a flat out lie. In fact, I don't think anyone should take anything you say about the MT82 with any credit whatsoever.

Feel free and see how childish his responses were over there as well, when people started to correct his incorrect info

Whining transmissions aren't uncommon. Edmunds has one with their long term 5.0 and they didn't throw a temper tantrum and get rid of the car. Last I heard, it has yet to spontaneously combust.

Your car didn't break. You bought a used high performance car that had god knows what done to it by a previous owner. Strike one. You modified said performance car after you knew that would provide Ford with an excuse to void your warranty. Strike two. Then you flip out over a mild whining sound and get rid of the car for seemingly very little reason. Strike three.

Enjoy your Camaro.

I think you might have missed the part about it whining so loud I could here it over the
radio at normal listening volume. It was much more that a mild whine. It was LOUD. It was like that because the gears were not meshing properly due to bad bearings. Ford replaced three of the bearing but none of the gears. The whine quieted down then came right back about 150 miles later.

Please go back to your Subaru forum if you can't comprehend that. And I am thoroughly enjoying my Camaro.

You sure it was the transmission whining, or the voice in your head?

The guy had an issue with his MT82 that was not rectified to his liking. He no longer has the car which gave him trouble and now owns one that he loves and is giving him trouble free motoring. I went through the same thing with a G37S, where anyone who owned one just refused to believe the car was as troublesome as it was. 2 clutches, 2 transmissions, both front hubs wore out in 10k miles, driver's side brake caliper seized, rear sub frame leaked, cruise control went out 5 separate times, dash peeled, trim pieces fell apart, rear differential whined...all within 50k miles...car never saw the track, always garaged, always serviced at Infiniti. So give him a break, and let's all move on.

Is there a reason you continue to try to provoke me? If you like your mustang then by all means, shut up and go enjoy your mustang with friends on another forum. If it was up to me you would not be welcome here. Unfortunately I'm not in charge of that decision.

As for the noise, if you wanna know so bad, track down the new owner and ask them how loud it is. I bet they didn't like the noise either. And I'm willing to bet they have had the trans replaced.
