Wow thanks for the pics. I like this a bit better then other ideas. Hows it hold up on bumps/turns/etc? Also does it way down the vent a lot to where it wont stay in place or is it pretty stable all around?

It is VERY stable and does not seem to be effecting the vent in any way.

I just don't feel safe having the iPad wedged in the dash. I would much rather have the holder bolted to my dash. At least the Padholdr bolts to the dash and you can use a case with it.
