hmmm...unfortunately. This "Corey" does not belong to these boards, I believe...so whom ever got Ms. Priddy's message must be looking at it thinking "wtf??" If some people did some simple reading first - it is so blatantly in red that the credit for these pictures goes to "Corey" from LS1tech, not Camarospike (although I thank yo deeply spike for posting these up - awesome job!! ) - and messages wouldn't be sent to wrong people...

I'm not sure if I've read that stuff or if I thought of it on my own.

Also, we knew that the Camaro would look good in black, thanks to Dragoneye

Thanks, Dragon.

Either way, THANKS X1Gazillion to the OP for posting!!

Edit: on second thought -- corey's email is embedded in the pics. So cool, there.

Also -- as far as the "some people" thing -- I resemble that remark!!!

Either way, it's cool that Ms. Priddy is now a member of THIS site.

EDIT2: GUYS and GALS!!! LOOK AT THE PASSENGER IN THE PICS! IT looks LIKE ED WELBURN!!! (WOW) Is that him??? Can't tell for sure.....

Great pics. Someone buy this guy a drink for following the car, taking good pics, lotsa pics, good angles, and talking to the drivers. Pro job. Oh and Dragon, since his email is plastered over the pictures, I imagine Brenda emailed him there, not PMing him like you think...

Anyway, orange peel paint, yeah considering this is just a pre-pro test mule the fact that they did more than throw some primer on seems over and above. I exaggerate, but you get the idea, the cosmetics are not important at this point. Now if the real production ones looked like that I would be concerned, but for now I'm not worried. My Cobalt has pretty good paint.

I loooove those wheels. I'd be happy with those on mine.

The hood is perfect. Nice cowl hight, and the scoop looks deep enough that even if it isn't functional, it looks close enough, better than the Mustang.

For some reason, I got a really good sense of scale with these pictures, and it clicked how compact the packaging is. I don't think we'll have a weight problem. This thing is the perfect size. Yay.

I think before we post any pics up here anymore, we need to photoshop some concept headlights on so we don't have to hear anything about the headlights. Camero, thanks for the post, stuff like that is great to hear from someone in your position.

Scott, and everyone else connected to the Camaro at GM, I'm keeping the faith, and these pics are making it easier and easier.

Oh yeah, even the gas door doesn't look bad. Not great, of course, but not bad. I'm really happy they made it locking.

no problem...though, perhaps Corey feels that there's more to this car than making a quick buck off of spyshots, so he posted up his pics regardless?

Orange peel is when the paint on your car, in a sense, looks like an "orange peel". It has the rough, slightly dimply texture like an orange has. It can be caused by an improper painting technique. Usually it can be fixed with buffing or ultra-fine sandpaper, but you can completely prevent it by changing the paint or your painting technique.

My car is an 01, and my paint doesn't have any "orange peel" in it.

Wow, things like this gets me excited. I put a disposal camera in both my truck and Camaro. Hope I can get lucky to catch one. Doubt there will be any in San Antonio though =[

Screw the gas cap!
Make mine a Z/28!!!!! Of course an SS would do. Hell, pretty much anything would work now.
Getting a good compete look shows amazingly how they have integrated the look of the '69 in between the wheel openings. And the designers have retained as true as possible the look of the concept. It looks like the headlights might change, they do seem to be a separate module, but the turn/parking lamps in the grille are probably gonna stay pretty much where they are. I can handle it.
