I think one could argue the TP/PP car is more car. it is 5.5k more in my case though. so is it worth the 5.5k?
If you are looking to buy either one of these cars. . . Price is simply NOT an argument. . The Ford offers more packages than the Chevy. .Not sure if you also included the $2100 Guzzler Tax in your price either. Lol.

Well I do right now. GM is going to warranty my ZL-1 if something happens at the track.

How many manufactures will stand behind their product if someone puts their vehicle on a track...Ford won't...Unless they changed their policy, they won't even warranty the fluid cooler upgrades you can get from the factory.

Head of SVT has said this in multiple interviews. So The's boss was to close 500 with price diff. Hence the Trinty GT500.

I found this on another site. Its a summary of all the reviews to date.

I did not make it BTW. Just seeing you asked about the tests and reviews.

The big picture here is both cars PERFORM great. The bigger picture is we are getting away from what these cars are built for.

10 years ago and even a few years recent it was ALWAYS about which car was faster in a straight line, which one stopped faster, and which one went around the track fastest.

Now we are concerned with seating comfort, ash tray ergonomics, and of course ease of drive.

So, my questions is... And its an honest question, not an argument starter is...

If the 2015 year mustang comes out, and is EXTREMELY European in style and handling, and it beats the camaro, will the Camaro still win because its more "american" in styling and more "muscle car".

I do not like reviews. The reviews should not speak and let the cars speak for them, I do not buy cars becuase of reviewers, I buy them for the #'s and becuase I enjoy to drive them.

You're partially correct, but not about the HP numbers, if that's what you're talking about. If I can find the video, the SVT engineer, Jamal Hameedi, said they used the 302 for their suspension design for the GT500.

Let me ask...Is anyone here that is only bench racing (if this or if that) going to buy either one of these cars? And if you are, are you really going to leave it stock...no mods what so ever...not even a CAI or tune? When I buy my ZL1, and I got the "Ok" from my wife, I know i'm going to mod the hell out of my car. No car or race enthusiast is ever going to leave their car stock. Only the collector will. So all this talk of if this or if that is really a moot point already. Buy the car you want and mod the hell out of it. Who cares about a warranty anyway.
VERY Valid point man. Very valid point. Thank you for bringing common sense to the argument.

Ohh really because I did and I am and price was very big concern to me. it is $1300 GG. I got supplier price so it is just a fixed price.

$56,001 out the door for my ZL1. base coupe gt500 54,995 best price I found. PP car 58,450 TP/PP 61,450. No dealership would honor x plan that I found. not dealer would go invoice that I found.

I love it when people make generalizations about the people actually buying the car. If I had found a PP/TP car at invoice I may have bought it.

So your statement is 100% incorrect. I pay for cars with money $$$$. Hence money is the main factor that I judge cars by when I like more than one.

maybe you have figured out another way to buy a car other than with money but I have not yet.

I have no brand ax to grind only the amount of money the car cost me. I even factored in the fuel saving's per year on the Gt500. I think the Gt500 is awesome but I would have had to finance money to buy it. 61,450 is not cheap. I am sure for a baller like you it is nothing but for poor white trash like me it is more than I have in my savings.

I agree man. . . Because lets ALL be honest. We all search for a different type of ride when driving a car. We all have different opinions on how a car handles, feels, etc. But on the other note. It doesn't matter how the car feels when you drive it. The faster car, better economic car. . Etc. Is normally the better car. . . But this isn't the case for the ZL1. And ONLY the ZL1 has been excused for this argument it seems like. . . So where is the answer to this? . . The GT500 won 20 of the categories, the ZL1 6. So what makes the Camaro better? On the Stat/Fact sheet? . . Not on an opinion such as ride quality.

Okay? So you can afford the first 56K but the next 5.5K burns a whole in your piggy bank? . . . Ha. The GT500 deserves to be the price it is. With all the options it has. . Like it or not, it has won the stat sheet. . .

I don't make an extra 5.5k a month. we must be on a different income structure. maybe you do. I don't like credit it costs you instrest. Intrest is money you can spend on lap dances and guns.

Mabe one day I will be as finacially smart as you are and I can afoard that car.

so if I have x amount of dollars that is kind of what I have. in my case it was base Gt500 or ZL1 or wait more time to save up more money.

Nope, because I am not buying either one of these cars. . But only people who DO NOT have the money to buy one, argue about pricing. . . How did you afford a Corvette Z06, but you can't afford a GT500? . . . Hmmm.
