No way you did not go there...

best suggestions: park in end spots, park several spaces away from nearest car, park near other nice AND CLEAN cars (they respect their car, and won't hit your car because they might damage their own), and most importantly...make sure you are in your own space perfectly!!! and stay away from cars that are not in their spaces perfectly.

would piss me off when i drove a dodge pick up, quad cab, and i made sure i parked perfectly within the space despite having a big truck. then some little rice-rocket comes up and parks all crooked! no wonder he hits the car parked next to him!!

also, something i used to do with my truck always, but not much with my lexus...reverse into the spot. you can give yourself more room on your drivers side. this is best when in an end spot.

Two true stories that happened to me:
FIRST: A few years ago my one month old car was parked in AN EMPTY E - M - P - T - Y beach parking lot. While I was returning from the shore, I hear a loud crash!
I go running to see my car turned around 180 degrees - and see a guy and his girlfriend getting out of their car to look at the damage to the rear of my car. The owner was teaching is girlfriend how to drive (or how not to drive) He claims "she hit the gas by accident instead of the break". Huh?
Needless to say THEY called the cops because I was a lunatic, but she got the ticket for no license, his insurance company paid for the repair, and because I was able to do most of the repairs myself I made a fair bit of change on the deal.
SECOND story: Its raining like a mother and I find a decent parking space at the end of an row at the movie theatre. We come out and parked next to me so close that I can't even open the drivers door is a sh!t box. Keying it would mean nothing, soooooooooo I bend the w/wipers back at a 90 degree angle and took the blades. Wonder how long the driver waited to get someone to come with replacements.

Don't just love people that park like this? The guy silver car probably thought he had a good parking spot until he came out and saw this.

Is there some type of motion sensitive video recording device you can install in your vehicle when it's parked so you can find out who messed with your car and prosecute?

Just wait until you park out in the middle of nowhere and you come out to find your car surrounded because people park next to it to see it.

PS - Haters will key you. Be on the alert = for everybody's car!

I usually have lots of space when I park- in the handicap spot. But I think I'd rather have my left leg back and walk a little easier!!!

that reminded me of carlos mencia...when he needed to ride in the carpool lane (or HOV lane, for those that call it that), so he went to a home depot and hired a mexican so that he could be in the carpool lane!!

see? just hire someone to sit in your car all day when you have it parked!! problem solved!

Ordered 5/13, hasn't even moved passed 1100! Suspense is killing me.
Also park in the back. I would walk for miles to avoid a ding in the door.

Parking next to planters isn't foolproof. My wife drives an '08 Yaris (I know, ) and she always parks against planters. This means there is an extra half a parking spot for some douche bag to put their car in.

Seriously, she's got dings and stuff from people who have parked so close, we had to open the door on the passenger side and climb in over the bushes.

I usually make it a point to park near other F-bodies and Corvettes. If I even think there is a slight chance that my (long-ass) door will touch another car, I'll put my fingers on the edge of my door. I'd much rather mash my own fingers than someone else's ride. Of course, I'm not naive enough to think that other people would show the same respect.
