With 800 to the tire and a M6. Yes you will need a 9 inch I wouldn't waste my money on changing the stock gears out.

Why does the back end of the car even have to exist?

Yeah...good idea...I love getting stuck on the side of the road 200 miles from home. That's a good plan.

Yeah, but the "little" thing costs 5k. Hmmmm maybe at 700whp, I can still break into the 11s, and do it on a half forged stock block. I don't see the point in just burning money...

I only live 10 miles from the track, but maybe something a little less potent will net me 11s, but with less headache.

you can run 11's with alot less than 700 horsepower just got to drive it. It I was you I would just run about 550hp.

Well 550 wouldn't get it at 8000 DAs, but 650 ran an 11.6. Not to be arrogant, but I can bang some gears around. Sometimes, the smell of burning money screws your head on tight.

8000 that sucks.. at 650 you will still need a clutch and a 9 inch with the 6 speed If you plan on going to the track a good bit. You could Try the JRE billet caps and the posi mod and keep the stock gears that may get you by at 650.

Lol...banging gears with 400 HP and banging gears with 800 is a touch different.

My car currently has $24,900 in parts. (I know because of insurance)

Low 10s is extremely easy with 20k.

Centri, differential gear, suspension, slicks skinnies, bolt on, hell you probably even have enough for a cam.

I just said that 800 was going to be too much hassle at this point. However, 650 can get into 11s here with a good launch. So, with some DRs, Whipple, and an LS9 cam; it seems realistic. The 9" at 650 seems overkill. Heck, the stock axles have lasted at that point. i don't get to the track, but maybe once a month. I will take you up on that offer to have a show car. People like purdy cars, now... where can I find some stickers

Yeah I doubt it would last too. Some people are lucky though. If it was me it would blow up first hole shot.
