I noticed no ones belt is adjusted properly on the Maggies with the exception of Zook.

The idler needs to be almost touching the tensioner, to get the most wrap around the drive pulley.

I don't think my idler can move any further left. I'll have it checked out soon.

I that easy enough to do on our own? On stock parts or aftermarket? I hate being new to this and not knowing.

What's that? Getting the belt that tight? You can do it with the stock GM tensioner without a problem. When I had the 6 rib back in 2009 I would get the idler and tensioner(GM) to touch (running a 3.4 pulley) then tighten the idler. It would always back off the tensioner a little leaving about 1/8th" space between the two. Yes, you can do this with one person. Takes about 2 minutes.

Better pics. Obviously with the 3.2 pulley. From summer of 2010. Still has the stock tensioner in these pics.

Ted, is this ok?!?!

Your belt is fine. Your only make 5 psi and the belt isnt slipping. There is no need to adjust it. I guess we did it "wrong" According to the god of the forum.
