I believe part of that has to do with Apple..doesn't give it's customer's "Enough time" to digest their last product. They shove another version in your face and slap on a new number. Still it doesn't stop people from feeding a multi-billion dollar company's ego.

A month or so ago I bought an unlocked Google Nexus Galaxy with Jelly Bean for $350. No reason to buy an iPhone 5 - and I have an ipad, ipad2, ipad3, ipod and mac mini.

I refuse to be locked into a contract so I would rather pay for the phone up front & get a cheap month-to-month plan. The unlocked iPhone 5 is $650. Even the iPhone 3 unlocked is still at $400 or so! Not worth the $.

No one argues this that has any sense of reality.
Oh come on. The most innovative and revolutionary tech company ever? The best marketed tech company ever. Apple has an easier operating system and great customer service. They are almost always behind in raw technology development.

Apple is akin to Toyota. They've had some good ideas in the past that they marketed the hell out of and now everyone thinks they're God's gift to the world even though their current products are mediocre or downright inferior to the competition.

Yes, Apple has invented and innovated. To say they haven't is like saying the GT500 isn't anything special and Ford completely failed and anything good about it they copied from the Camaro.

Apple is doing something special right now and yes some of that is simply perception. But the customer experience is unique. The mystique is unique. When is the last time you saw anyone line up at the Samsung store for their latest phone? Motorola? They don't even have stores. So every time Apple has a new product (not very often with annual refreshes) the TV and news is full of pictures of people lined up to buy. Wait until Sept. 21 and see if it happens again. That alone builds the mystique of Apple. The Apple Store is a giant marketing juggernaut all by itself just from that regard. Every time you go to the mall, their stores are jammed. What does that do for impressions?

Apple may not and likely is not the technology giant. But all in, manufacturing, quality, marketing, sales, customer experience, there isn't much to rival it.

The companies that do outsell it, outsell it on price.

AMEN!

ANYBODY can market things very well...well enough to sell reading glasses to a blind man. The difference at the end of the day is....THE PRODUCT. Their business model is incredible and companies around the world are attempting to mimic it.
Apple has changed the way we live(yes, along with other tech companies/phones) but Apple products are outclassing every single tech company out there; both in word and deed.

Show me another company's stocks that have doubled well over 8X (Mar 09' was $84 to $691 yesterday) during the worst recession in 80 years. Must have been the white color. LOL

The first two quoted people think that's a direct result of advertising and stealing. BWAH HA HA That is so stupid it's funny. Why are companies losing patent violation cases over and over to Apple? Apples products have stayed very similar in appearance forever now so why are most products out there now extremely similar to Apples? They MUST be successful because of a few strategic commercials?

I've owned AAPL stocks since 2009 and follow the company VERY closely. Their P/E multiple is way lower than struggling companies and their stocks are STILL going vertical. The PRODUCT and the innovation therein is what has made this the best company in the world. ANYONE who follows stocks knows that this company is more than what the other two suggest: ~Commercials and thievery(improving on an idea is much different!)
~Inferior products
~Behind in raw technology

That is ignorance at it's worst.

IPod touch/shuffle/nano etc
IPhones
ITV
Mac's with flash drive
IPads-soon to be mini
Soon to be TV's
Cable content delivery will soon change how we watch/receive/stream television.

etc
etc

I went the droid route with the XOOM and HTC Thunderbolt and they both were crap. The MAC Book Pro that i use on a daily basis for work is a wonderful tool that just works and works well. I will be going back to the iPad and iPhone on my next purchases because of the seamless integration with my MAC.

Well, let's take a look at what happened.

Tony Fadell, Jonathan Ive and a team at Apple are credited in invented the iPhone. It was innovative when it came out. No other phone was like it. But with intentional short comings i.e., no flash. This wasn't because of tech restrictions, battery life and "focus on html 5". This was so folks couldn't bypass iTunes.

Competitors have less marketing restrictions and worries about affecting popularity. So they copied the design and added other features. Hence the "raw tech development". Apple has to be conservative with tech and aggressive in testing.

So now, Apple isn't the most innovative. They're the most profitable and one of the most popular. Until they come out with another thing we say "Hey, I can't live without that!!"

4 screen
A6 (dual core)
1GHz

Comming in October...

Samsumg Galaxy S3
