GM is most likely being lead around by the ear. I'd like to think thats why a Cadillac symbol landed on a premier for a pro-communist film in China. |

Visions of this keep coming to me when I hear 4 cylinder... I guess this will be the new 4-cyl CME...?

The 6th Gen Camaro will be sold with a V8, a 6 and most likely a 4. There is no drama here.

I always enjoy reading people saying it will fail, it is stuipd etc... When really it is just following CAFE restrictions.

I wouldn't have one unless I could get it with a 3 speed on the column.

Say what you want, I had a Cobalt SS with a 2 liter LNF bolted & tuned pushing 360 whp and 405 wtq. (Dynojet) The 60-100 mph time was 4.4 sec. (3000 lb car) so I expect it will not be too shabby at 270 hp stock in a 3700 lb car. The newer version Buick has is an LHU, same basic DI turbo 4 banger. Twin scroll turbos have almost no lag. It's a rush to spin the tires at 60 in 3rd gear. lol.
My LS3 runs 5.8 sec 60-100 mph by comparison logged with HP Tuners. Both cars running 3rd gear pulls.

Regulators, on the other hand are not elected, and therefore do not answer to the people. They do whatever they want, and as they are wont to do, they often impose their own personal views and biases into the rules they make. One of their personal biases is to latch onto scare tactics and fear mongering to make their own jobs seem important, and to shield themselves from popular opinions contrary to their rules. They tend to protect their own jobs by blowing issues way out of proportion and convincing people that we would all be dead if not for their rules. We have no way of stopping them, so I have coined the phrase: "Regulation without Representation" The only thing we can fault GM for in these cases is for being spineless and going along with this nonsense. There used to be a time when they would fight these regulations, and they would sometimes win. Nowadays, they fold like a cheap tent when confronted by regulators. |

I bet I could find a lot of these cars with casette players and 8-track tape players in them too. Does that mean we should go back to them and get rid of digital media and navigation units?
