Usually the more times you tell a story, the better it gets each time. It's amazing how a 10lb fish grows to 12lbs, then 15lbs, eventually it is a world record. You always remember girls hotter than they were, fish bigger than they were, and cars faster than they were!

I just purchased a 2010 Camaro SS2 with a L99 and A6 automatic and mine had the same problem...No Power and bogs down when you step into it. Your problem is called Torque Management !!!!!!! All Automatics come with it BIG time the only way to turn it off is through a Tune.

My Car bogged felt sluggish out of the hole and had me asking where is this 4.03 first gear the A6 automatic is supposed to have ?

I got with a local tuner had torque management turned off and WOW this car woke up quickly. don't feel bad you got a automatic feel bad for the manual guys because when it comes time to racing one he better hope he doesnt miss a gear because the A6 won't

Get a tune and that will turn Torque managment off !!!!!!!!!!! Trust me.

A totally different automobile afterwards

Look into it .

I was starting to wonder if I screwed up by getting the automatic….Now im glad I didn’t pass on it

Theres also torque management programmed into the 6 spd manual also. It may not be as pronounced, but its there and is slowing them down! They ALL need a good tune!

Its amazing with turning torque managment off what it did to my automatic.

before it felt like a 4 cylinder coming out of the hole.

now it feels like a 4thgen with 3.90's

"M" mode is like "S" aka Sport on a corvette its more agressive in how the car shifts.

Yes the manuals have TM however it doesnt affect them as much as the automatic. Also you can turn the AFM up and down through the tune.

Get a dyno tune with hp tuners. Your torque management wont let you get the hp out of it. and hae them disable the afm with hp tuners while they are at it. A dyno tune got me a full second on my 05 a4 gto.

Does getting a tune and turning torque management off void your warranty?
BTW Comparing 2010 A6 with 97 Z28 the 2010 seems way faster. I put it in sport mode and it really takes off.

It can yes. But if you put the stock tune back in before you go in for dealer work you should be ok.

How hard is it to put he stock tune back in? Can that be done by an individual or taken back to the shop?
