Yep, totally agree. I'd say in order of priority - add diff mounts to your listed items 1st, subframe mounts 2nd.... the subframe really likes to walk around under increased power. Subframe inserts are a pointless stepping stone IMO (I did them, then removed and sold them)

Now Brian needs to tell you how he liked the stock clutch because he could slip the heII out of it for a great 60 foot...... but then he can replace his clutch at will where most have to fork out labor $$$ and don't have a lift. Oops..... did I give out a secret Brian

Smaller wheels and more sidewall is better to absorb the initial driveline shock. 16's require V6 brakes, which unless you intend to only 1/4 mile, isn't worth it IMO. Most 18s will fit over the SS brakes. 17's are the sweet spot - Bogarts are high end, look fantastic, but I didn't have good results with their tolorances and Steve refunded my money rather than making me a quality wheel set (wobbly on a balancing machine). I'm betting somehow they probably paid special attention to making Ross's COPO wheels though. Welds are priced just right, tight tolorances like the Forgelines, and look great - for a lowered car though, you will need the BMR adjustible lower control arms to clear the rims on hard launches. Look at your tire choices too..... for 17s the choices are M&H 325/45/17 drag radials or Hoosier 28x10x17
Thanks for the input , was looking at pfadt diff. bushing as well as there control arms with toe link . I like the weld wheel selection , any good local suppliers anybody now of ?? I'm thinking the 17'" is the way I am going

You could get a little wider on the rubber with Toyo Proxes TQ P345/40R17.

At the expense of sidewall though.

I think that the absolute widest you can go is a 335, and the guy who did it was real close to rubbing. One of us should try it, I would but I don't have my 17s yet.

My M&H 325/45/17s did rub apparently under a hard squat..... may have been when I mashed up the lower coilover bushings that Pfadt recently pressed in new harder ones (would have allowed it to squat a little further... maybe 1/4"). Anyway, the place it rubbed was at the junction of the rear bumper and rear quarter panel. The tab where it attaches got rubbed to an angle. I went one step further and took the dremel to it a bit more for good measure. Then brushed on rustoleum, followed by a little white out as a "tattle tale" marker if it would hit again. The closer to zero rear camber you get, the less fender well clearance you'll get too.

Hey all,
What are the hotel choices in Sturgis? I know I'm a bit late, but I figured with my upcoming summer trip to Afghanistan I was not going to attend, but since the dates keep moving, I figured I would at least try to attend....assuming there are any rooms left. Worst case scenario is I have to deploy and simply cancel my rez. Lemme know.
thanks
Andy,
I will pm you my email address for the entry form.
Rob

Not sure if rooms are still available at the Host hotel, but here's the info:

The host hotel will once again be the Holiday Inn Express in Sturgis. A block of rooms is already set aside. Call the hotel directly and mention you're with the Camaro Rally. Website for the hotel is www.hixsturgis.com

Email from Alexiss:

Hello Everyone,

Happy New Year to all!! We are counting down the days to the 3rd Annual Sturgis Camaro Rally. I have attached the registration info for those of you who would like to mail in their forms. If you choose to mail in your forms, and include a legible email address, I will send a confirmation to you upon receipt. For those interested in registering online it should be up and running in a few weeks. We ran into some technical difficulties and apologize for the delay. If you have any questions feel free to email or call me anytime.

Thanks and see you in June!!!
