For 800 you'll probably need to push things a bit. I think 900 is going to take something exotic. Twin turbos.
Twin turbos aren't exotic. They bolt on just as easy as a blower.

That being said, blowers can make that power easy. Twins are better IMO but my vortech makes 900+ on low boost and can easily break 1000.

With that power level you know something about what you're getting into. Based on what you run now, I would continue that same direction if it was me. I think the Vortec centrifugal is most efficient system other than a turbo. That's probably what I would go with as far as power adders. Get a solid LSX 427 in there and turn up the boost on a vortec and if you're not there , just cool it off with a little shot of nitrous .

If you run nitrous too the motor has to be drained for nitrous, your clearance have to be done much differently. The rings will expand outward with nitrous too, so your ring gap should be tighter to account for that.

Thats what i intend to do.As my original question was , wich rout is best to go. Buy a built shortblock ready to go or a rotating assembly

Lol no shop just a lil ole deputy, but I love this stuff. I'm a fan ok KY speed too lol.

I think the OP will be ok with an Ls3 block, lets get one thing straight though fellas. In this hobby there's nothing "reliable" we can try and lessen our chances of failure with the best parts and best knowledgeable hands to assemble our builds but lets not forget that shiat happens lol and nothing is guaranteed.

An LsX block is good too but you'll be adding ~200 lbs to the nose of that car. You got LsA's and Ls9's waaaaay up there in HP. Just my .2

LSX is 80-90lbs, not 200lbs heavier.

Haha. Lol. I'm showing my age. I grew up working on 4 barrel carberators. I should keep my old school opinions to myself. I do think twin turbos are a bit more complex than a supercharger.

1000 horsepower on a budget is a flawed endeavour. People like to throw out that HP number like it's nothing.

Should be looser. You don't want the ends of the rings hitting from the high cylinder pressures so you loosen the gap.
