Question about Codes 1100 & 2000

What is the usual time frame for your code to go from 1100 to 2000 if your dealer had plenty of alocations at the time you ordered. It has been 3 weeks and I am still at 1100 whereas I have seen recently most people that ordered from a dealership with alocations only stayed at 1100 a couple days. Just curious. Thanks for the help!!!

its obvious you were misled... maybe they have allocations but for what week? I ordered 5/23 knowing that the dealer had allocations for June orders BUT those allocations were for seperate weeks. You have to watch how they word it. Find out exactly when the allocations are for. i waited in limbo for several weeks waiting but I wanted to stay with my dealer knowing darn well I could have almost had my car by now elsewhere.

this was my dealers allocation schedule for June(which runs June 15-July 15). I was 3 deep on the wait list

June 16 - 2
June 23 - 1 ME!
June 30 - 0
July 7 - 0
July 14 - 1

My guess is you are caught in the 0-0 weeks due to shut down. You should go soon.

He told me that he had alocations right then and that my car should be about 8 to 10 weeks. I had ordered at Classic in Grapevine but switch to Classic in Sugarland, Tx. because Grapevine didn't have any alocations and Sugarland did.

If this is the case, you should get picked up July 14. it is the next open slot due to shut down. if you don't, I'd start asking questions...

unless you have some reason tos stay with this dealer, switch. The soonest you could get picked up (move to 2000) is July 14. If you switch, you may get picked right up. Otherwise youre in limbo...

that mesn nothing. you can have several at priority 1. you need to see if any are at 1100 ahead of you. I was #14 but 12 and 13 were also at 1100 so they got the two slots for June 16 and I had to wait till June 23. It is not really a bad system if people know what to ask and look for.

Thanks for the information. That gives me bullets when I start asking questions. My salesman told me that the holiday could have something to do with me being at 1100. He told me to check back with him on Thursday or Friday????

You and me both! Ordered June 10th from dealer ( 1000 ) and told they had an allocation available so should be in 10 - 12 weeks for delivery. Got notice today that they placed order with GM back on June 11th ( 1100 ) and currently still have other customers sitting at 1100 which ordered back in March and April. I would've gladly ordered mine much sooner, however, I have never purchased a vehicle without actually being able to at least sit in it first. So I guess all I can do now is wait and hope that my order gets picked up by GM on July 14th, otherwise, I'm afraid the snow will be here long before my Camaro.

Basically open allocations doesn't mean anything they could have 20 remaining allocations but only get 2-4 cars per week pulled and you could be near the end of the 20. Just using round numbers for example.

Salesman initially told me 3 months from date of order. Recently said 3 more months. Guess he just wanted a sale. I'm already in line for 2 months now so i guess i will stay where im at and hope for the best. How can i get other people status ahead of me?

My dealer has never mentioned anything about weekly numbers, only that after the shutdown they will know how many allocations they'll have for production period July-Aug and if I'll make it. Actually sales manager didn't even know Camaro line only down for one week instead of 2. Is there actually some kind of weekly number I can get from them?
