I will say this...im 19, turning 20 in a few months. i currently hav a payed off cobalt 2.4, and i just recently ordered a new 2lt/rs camaro. Im attending college, and i work at the local walmart clearing 900 a month. take off 140 a month for gas, and my cell phone bill which is 70, and that leaves me with about 700. I taking my car that i currently own, and putting it up as a trade in, + about 5-7(depending on what i manage to save up by the time its in) and putting i all down, averaging close to 15k, putting me at a little better than halfway payed off. i fully expect to get my payments around 300 a month, which i dont mind one bit since IM working for it and paying for it with MY money that I earned. I dont plan to move out as i have 3 years of college left(full ride scholarship) and the economy is in a shitbox right now anyways. Maybe one day when i find mrs. right i will then consider moving out, but right now im still young and i want what i want, and if im working for it then im going to do it.

what it boils down to is...you only live once. take life as it comes(doesnt mean spend money carelessly) and enjoy it to the fullest. if your making this thread, your already questioning if you can afford it, in which case you probably cant and shouldnt be attempting to, just yet anyways.
The difference between you and this futurebumblebee guy is that you are 19, going to college and have a FULL TIME job and seem responsible and know what it takes to get what you want, making most of your parents' generosity by going to school, working, and being responsible. Mr Dreamer, is in his mid 20s!!!! in his own words, is LAZY, does not want to work more hours to afford what he wants which happens to be a brand spanking NEW CAR. Oh, and he stated he has no W2 form as proof to creditors that he has a job to pay for a loan. That will end soon when he stars in the new movie I recommended he tries out for.

Working full-time and believing in the military are not little stuff.

Everyone here believes that hard work will eventually equal success.

The bottomline is that you don't want to and you don't care. It's your choice.

This is a trend that I see in many of the students going through my classes.

I worked on a grant a few years back and poor work ethics was the biggest complaint from the local business owners. :(

And in the case I disagree with apparently everyone. It's an opinion and a choice of life. My work ethic however is top notch. I'm one of the hardest workers where I work.

Go big or go home.
..... I say take it one step further and make the dealership give you a loan of $5-10k so you can mod it up.

ok so why don't you wanna work more hours to have more money so you can actually afford a new car? You are dreaming awake dude. You are posting everywhere asking this and that about a car you can't afford. Dreaming is free but if you have no intention of working hard to make it come true, then you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. Look into the lead I gave you about a new movie you are a perfect fit for. I promise, I will pay pay the $9 to watch you at the movies. I might even buy the DVD to help you out.

1) Because I'm lazy
2) I believe that working more than having free time defeats the purpose of working and life. When I have 8 hour days, I spend an hour extra at lunch, an hour getting ready and driving and a half hour or so getting home and wind down. That's like 10 and a half hours devoted to work for peanuts. I would rather use my time, unpaid even, learning new skills such as learning photoshop, starting an internet business, reading science books and enjoying life. I don't care about money, if I can't afford a new Camaro, so be it. 5 years from now I'll be in a much better position.

If people want to be dicks that's fine, whatever makes them feel like big men.

Lets see: your lazy, would rather have free time then work because you don't like it and would rather read science books. I see the next generation of a welfare recipient. Take responsibility for yourself! So everything you make is free money. I've got news for you...Nothing in life is free unless someone else is footing the bill! Grow up.
