Why is this so complicated?

< 13 to 1320ft is quicker than at least 90 % of all cars on the road today.

155 is moving faster than 90 % of those same cars.

So I say quick and fast. The LS3 will do 130 at about 4500 rpm in 5th gear. That's rpm to spare and another gear. So why is fast even a question?

Its all relative. For me 11.99 or better is fast . 12.00 - 13.50 in the 1/4 on street tires is quick. The LS3 has wicked potential.

It sounds like because the car is so smooth and feels like your going slower than you are that it is confusing. Put the same engine in a less advanced suspension and chassy then it might feel "fast" even though you are going the same speed. It is the way your sitting in the car and the smooth ride that makes it feel like it accelerates slower than it really does. What you guys think?

I have had this discussion for years. Lots of cars can go 100 mph, which is fast. How long it takes you to get to 100 MPH is how quick you are.

If you don't think sub 5.0 second cars are fast, you are spoiled and have been fortunate enough to put you butt in some nice seats. If you don't think 155 mph is fast, you may very well drive ovals and make regular left turns for your weekend fun.

That being said, the LS/LT is quick, the SS is fast. Yes a Corvette is faster and a Z06 is faster still and a ZR1 is even more so. Just depends on what you've been driving.
I want to line my 69 up and see whats what against the new one, My 69 has a 350-350hp with ATI 350Turbo backed up with 3:73 Eaton Posi. When it comes to shifting thats where I'll be a little spoiled I think, My 69 will chirp third, second will make you smile.

See definitions of quick versus fast above, but agreed the LS3 has wicked potential
When the SST Camaro comes back home, it will be both quick and fast. These cars are awesome.

Just wanna get opinions from those who have driven the camaro as well as "fast" cars.
120 in third gear is both quick and fast!

3rd gear doesn't matter. a car with only 3 gears can go faster than that. How is the ride getting to 120 mph? that is where you define fast.
