don't mean to question you dragoneye, but could you provide viable citation? i googled it and found many places quoting ls1 and 2. i mean, it would only make sense they would use the 2 that was already in the Goat, but you never know. just curious.

The Bandit Trans-Am and KITT should definitely be in the top 10. Magnum's Ferrari and A-Team's Van and Face's Corvette convertible. Those were all extremely famous, granted some are from TV-show's however all of those TV-show's were filmed using film...

First off, many of the cars folks mentioned above were not really cars on Film, but television cars. (Yes, I understand TV shows are recorded onto film too, but generally when you refer to 'film', it means movies produced for the cinema, not television). That knocks out things like KITT, Magnum's Ferrari, Starsky's Gran Torino (yes this was made into a movie, but it wasn't the movie that made the car famous), the General Lee (movie was horrible, don't even try to go there!), etc.
Secondly, the list is clearly tongue-in-cheek, based on what the cars could do in the movie setting. While Bandit's T/A was cool, it was just a car. All he did was outrun Jackie Gleason repeatedly. ![]() All that being said, I definitely agree that Christine should be on there.

Glad someone else thought of it.. in the movie "The Wraith"... the cars name was The Interceptor... Been awhile since I've seen the movie but the first time I saw it I thought that was a damn nice car.

Gee! What about John Milner's Coupe and Falf'as '55???? (American Graffitti)
The Eleanor(from the later version of Gone in 60 Seconds) while a nice car, is a pretender of cars that never existed in the '60's. I would go more for the original Eleanor from Halicki's original Gone! The beat the heck out of that car in the movie. Check out this link for Hot Rod Magazine's Article from a few years back. http://www.hotrod.com/thehistoryof/h...ies/index.html It inspired nme to go out and obtain every one of the movies listed and then some! |
