What is the easiest way to remove the engine cover for the Camaro. Is there something to unscrew or does it simply pop off?

The big piece, take off the oil cap and pop off the cover.

The smaller cover I unbolted the fuel rail and popped it out, removed the 2nd cover and popped the rail back in. I may reloom all the wiring to organize it better this weekend.

For those with stripes that are vinyl, I would make sure the hood temp does not go up too high if you remove your cover, it could shorten the life of your stripes!

I ordered my car because it's pretty. I want it's engine to look pretty. Any decrease in performance due to heat build up from a piece of plastic will be minimal. I'm not drag racing so it's not gonna effect me. My CTS has a huge cover too and I never noticed any heat issues. I prefer the clean look you get with the covers it hides all the electronics these newer cars have that the old classic cars don't have to deal with. It's kinda like the same reason why people freak out about exposed wires being seen on their home theater systems. But to each his own.

I dont imagine hood surface temps would go up that much if any. There is still the giant hood maxipad attached to the hood.

My engine cover is on a garage shelf. Form follows function! Let the tubes and wires show.
